This story chapter was based on a roleplay me, Jere, and Monster had. It was fun though.
Warning: It's gonna be too long I think.
~~~------------------~~~
Wirt had his lantern tightly clenched on his grip. The Unknown. Unknown. The forest was a mystery itself, maybe. It was hard to think for him in quiet and dark places. He was walking down the forest when-
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
All I know is that we'll meet again,
Some sunny day
Wirt heard someone singing. It sounded unusual.
"Anyone there?" He half-yelled. No answer.
He sighed.
"I want to make this loneliness gone." He was about to take another step when a kid wearing a three-piece suit appeared, hanging down by the tree in front of the Beast.
"HEYA, TREE-BOY~!" The demonic child's sudden eager interaction surprised the Beast, resulting for him to be in a state of paranoia.
"WHAT THE-!?" Wirt frowned, still keeping his eyes enlarged.
"WHO ARE YOU!?" He asked loudly and cautiously as antlers grew out of his head.
"I'm Bipper! You?"
Wirt hesitated. He didn't knew if he could trust this kid. He shrugged.
"Wirt."
"Nice name, Tree Boy~."
"Stop calling me that."
"But it fits you perfectly~!" Bipper insisted. Before Bipper could finish the last word, Wirt spoke, but not to be cut off by him.
"Ok fine." He spoke fastly.
~
It was a long while since he met Bipper, yet he still needed to be used to his behavior.
What a creep.
"Ugh."
~
Wirt went into the Mill and grabbed a blanket. Winter? It's snowing. He sighed and held it.
~
Wirt had been walking for what it seems to be hours already, the whole time being annoyed of Bipper.
Oh, dear, two paths to walk on. He swayed the lantern slightly both ways, lighting as far as he could.
He caught something in his eye. He took a step on the left path and held out his tightly gripping hand farther.
"A kid?" Bipper jerked.
"Yes, a kid indeed." Wirt looked concerned and curious.
"HEY KIDDO!" The demonic kid yelled out. Wirt then started walking to the kid.
"Hey, little kid? What had you come in he-" Wirt gasped slightly and stumbled back when a kid, seeming to be really cold, turned to him.
"H-Hel-lp m-me!" He begged. Wirt felt his face's color drain out. He was so scared of the missing arm of the kid, replaced by a robotic one.
"Oh... COOOOL~!" Bipper suddenly was next to the two.
~
What a trouble he caused. He shouldn't have let them get together on their own.
~
Wirt gave both of the boys a disappointed glare. He had dark bags under his multi-colored eyes. He couldn't concentrate of what he was doing, he was really tired of this.
These two boys in front of him always kept on distracting him from his work. He just couldn't leave them like that. His shadow grew taller and its form became a man with really long and large antlers.
"Stop." He commanded. The literally cooled down kid hid his head in shame.
"Sorry, W-Wirt..." Finn felt his half-frozen heart beat faster in fear and embarrassment. He couldn't bear his friend to be mad at him. He's just afraid he'll lose another friend.
"Oh, tree boy~ We were just playing around!" Bipper winked.
"Y'know, like what little kids do. Mess around and..." Bipper snickered as Finn threw him a nervous glance.
"ACCIDENTALLY KILL EACH OTHER!" He started laughing menacingly and Finn started sobbing.
Wirt gritted his teeth and paid Bipper a death glare that was dangerously scary. It seemed not to affect Bipper at all, only Finn was the scaredy one on the trio, so far.
Bipper chuckled at the both. Situations like these make him laugh.
"That's so stupid." Wirt growled slightly.
"Hey, what did I do wrong, Tree Boy~?" Bipper grinned like a triangular demon possessing a dead little boy's body would.
Wirt didn't answer, as the darkness was engulfing his emotions.
"I was only making him angry."
Wirt growled slightly, a very silent one.
"I only wanted to see his power."
Wirt clutched the lantern. He felt like his knuckles would pop out of his skin.
"I wish you saw how he tried to control his self.
How he suffered.
How he whimpered.
How hard he was shaking.
How he tried not to cry."
Wirt gave the lantern to sobbing Ice Finn.
There was a slight pause. The scene was resumed when Bipper grinned wider than normal and muttered,
"How he wanted for you to stop me."
Wirt let out a howl that echoed all over the Unknown, as the horns/antlers grew even longer out of his head.
He looked like a Beast.
Finn couldn't think of anything else. Every single thing that scared him flashed in his mind too fast to comprehend.
"Do not fear, Ice Child." The voices said. The voices... they're back. The voices that were supposed to be at rest suddenly came back to haunt him.
This is gonna be the worst moment in his life. He shook his head and placed his forehead on his knees.
Everything suddenly became real silent. He started forgetting everything again. Oh no...
He forgot Wirt and Bipper. Everything.
Then...
