Yuki's POV ♪
I walk down the hall with my head bowed low enough so no one from the other classrooms can see me through the window.
This has gotta be the worst day ever.
I sighed and trudged through.
My situation is a bit complicated you see, well actually. It's not really that complicated, it's pretty simple if you ask me. I'm currently being transferred from my current english class to a 'special' english class. The teacher didn't give any more information other than that. Exactly why am I being apathetic about it? Well actually, I'm just really tired of school. I'm pretty sure a lot of kids can relate to me here.
When I see my new classroom come to view with the big bold letters 'D1' on the wooden, rusty door, I walk upto it with uncertainty and push it, which caused the door to make a creaking sound.
The door opened wide for me to see a teacher writing something on the board and two students already on a seat of the two front desks in the classroom.
One of them had nerdy glasses with chocolate brown hair and the other one had bright pink eyes that matched with her pastel pink hair.
The chairs and tables were either broken a little or had graffiti on them.
What is this? A haunted art room...
All eyes turned on me as soon as I opened the door.
"Umm... Is this where I'm supposed to be?" I asked to no one in particular.
The teacher replied, continuing to write on the dusty board.
"Yes, please take a seat on any desk."
I looked around the classroom, it was rather small.
I ended up taking the desk that's two seats away from the two students who sat next to each other.
What in the world is going on?
I sat silently while watching the teacher write something on the board.
It said 'The Walls'.
The teacher cleared her throat.
"So. Does anyone know where Southern Germany is?"
Silence.
The teacher cleared her throat again.
"Okay, write down what's on the board and onto your books and we'll brainstorm together what it could mean,"
I jotted down what was on the board and onto my book and waited for the teacher to speak.
"The Walls is a city located in Southern Germany. It consists of many districts but first, can anyone tell me why do you think it's called The Walls?" The teacher asked.
The one with the glasses shot her hand up. I wonder what's her name.
"Yes, Hailey?"
Bingo.
"Could the city may be surrounded by walls?" the student responded nervously.
"Exactly!" The teacher exclaimed and wrote a dot point on the whiteboard saying 'A city surrounded by walls'.
"Write this down on your books," the teacher said while still writing down.
All of us wrote it down hastily.
The teacher turned back to us.
"Okay! So The Walls are actually large structures that surround the territory of the place where humanity lived. The people within the city walls built Wall Maria to protect themselves from people who aren't the same as them and the outside world. The walls were built at least around fifty meters high so the city won't be discovered by any one else. But that was more than a century ago," the teacher laughed.
