Twenty Three.

Ryder chews his bottom lip as he rubs his hands on his jeans. Zara was on her way over, and it will be the first time they saw each other in a month. The sudden change in Zara's mood had him confused yet hopeful, and if he was honest, quite excited for what may happen. When the doorbell rang Ryder jumps up and fixes his hair. He didn't know why he was so nervous, but just the thought of him and Zara being alone together made him shake.

"Hey darlin'." She kisses his cheek and takes her shoes off at the door, smiling when she sees her favorite drink on the table. Ryder blushes and sits next to her, leaving a space between them as Zara makes herself at home. It was close to Halloween, and Zara lived for scary things around this holiday.

"Can we watch some scary movies?" Zara turns towards him with a huge smile on her beautiful face, Ryder wincing and nodding. He was terrified of scary movies that didn't involve zombies or hot girls. But ever since meeting Zara, any hot girl didn't matter. He stood up and put a movie in, sitting kinda closer to her.

The rolls were switched from your classic love story, and by halfway through the first movie Ryder was curled up in Zara's lap. Zara was happy, laughing lightly whenever Ryder would jump. Her hand was in his hair, calming him as he squeezed his eyes shut. Then, after two movies on the five movie disk, Ryder was fast asleep.

"Ryder we're ho-" Lennox enters the front door and Zara puts her finger to her lips, Lennox and Zander smiling when they see them together. They've actually been setting up a plan with Jake for the two to get together.

"Hey, how's my favorite love birds?"

"We aren't love birds! But I'm great, besides being hungry. How are you two?" Lennox just looks at Zander, who sighs and puts his hands up in defense.

"I accidently spilt stuff all over Lennox's favorite shirt, so I had to buy her a new one." Lennox sets her jacket on the chair and sits on the arm of it, showing her the ugly yellow shirt Zander bought.

"Zander that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Besides you of course." Over the last few months, Zander and Zara have become really close. He was practically another brother to her.

"Ha, get wrecked." Ryder lets out a raspy laugh, Zara's eyes widening at how deep his voice was.

"Ryder you shut your stupid mouth."
