Beep.. beep ..beep..
I groaned and turned off the alarm as I mentally wished to God for a hurricane or an earthquake to happen so school would be cancelled.
Just as I was going to get up from my cozy bed my phone ringed signalling someone is calling. Ugh who could it be?
"Hello?"
" Isabella? Happy birthday!!Oh my God girl you wont believe what happened!!" Of course I don't need coffee to fully wake me up when I have Melissa
"What happened Mel?" I sighed as I sat up.
"Okay so Eric called me and he asked me out. Can you believe it!?.He's been my crush since third grade!" I could imagine her smile as she rambled about Eric and reasons why they should be soulmates.
"That's great Mel" I giggled.
"Its more than great, he loves me!!"
"Yeah hey we'll talk more about your husband to be later okay. I gotta go get ready bye see you at school."
As soon as I hung up I hurriedly put on my outfit and fixed my hair and make up.
"Isabella, come down to eat honey!"
"I'm coming mom!" I took one more glance at the mirror and went downstairs.
6:45 am
"Good morning mom, we gotta go now before I miss the bus again"
I kissed my sister and dad goodbye and headed to the truck.
" what time is it?" My mom asked while handing me a cookie.
" 6:48 " I sighed and fixed my hair a bit more.
"Hey isn't that Sophia's daughter?" My mom stopped the truck and squinted her eyes at the rebellious problematic brunette that recently ran away from her house leaving her family worried and police officers searching half the community for her.
"Yeah mom. But you know, she never changes. She's still problematic so why interfere with her life anymore?"
My mom just shrugged and drove to the bus stop.
"Just on time. Bye mom I love you"
"Me too, take care and be good also happy birthday sweetie." She smiled and drove away.
I saw Melissa sitting anticipated and a nervous wreck on the bus seat.
"Bella.. We are together!!!" She caught glances from the other bus riders as she exclaimed.
"Yeah I know. You practically told me 500 times this morning" Both of us laughed. "Anyways what's up with your boyfriend?" She asked as she bit her nails nervously.
"Mel, really?in case you forgot we broke up time ago." I said stiffly. Clearly pissed.
"Yeah well that's not what everyone says. I mean the way he's always following you around and talking about you.. Also people are going around spreading rumours and saying you left him for Sebastian "
"You know that's not true. Sebastian is like a brother to me." I scrunched up my nose in disgust at the thought of it.
"Alright, let's talk about Eric!!" She blushed and giggled as I groaned and covered my ears.
"What more is there to talk about Eric?"
* time skip*
"Isabella!" God please tell me that isn't Sebastian..
I turned to the direction of the voice.
"Oh hey Sebastian"I waved and walked to the bleachers. I started reading my book when Melissa shook me.
"Hey Bella, he's staring at you.." Melissa whispered in my ear.
I turned to the direction Melissa was looking at and I met eyes with Sebastian.
He quickly looked away and joined the conversation his friends where having.
"Its my birthday, of course people will keep looking at me today." I shook it off thinking that maybe he was staring at someone behind me. But I soon questioned why as soon as we made eye contact he quickly looked away.
"I think he likes you Bella. He's alwa- "
I cut her off by walking to the cafeteria. Melissa followed after very puzzled.
"Mel, he doesn't like me. We're like siblings. There's no way in hell he has feelings for me. You do know he has a crush on that redhead. What's her name again? " I sat down as I glared at the table.
"Alicia." Melissa sat across from me, giggling.
" Right,Alicia. Anyways where's Eric?"I hoped that by mentioning Eric, Melissa would stop looking at me as if she knows something that's really not there anyways.
"Really? Don't try to switch this conversation Bella. Nice try." Melissa giggled and twirled her black curls.
Just as I was going to answer Melissa, a tall figure stood next to her and smiled at her.
"Hey, um happy birthday sis."I smiled at the blushing boy in front of me but in the inside i was a nervous wreck. Who wouldn't be nervous? The way he smiles at me makes me feel.. Amazing.. I can't describe it. I stood up and hugged him really tight. Crap..this is so awkward..but he smells so good. I couldn't help but blush.
"Yeah.. Um I'll give you your present later okay?" He broke the hug and took a gift bag from his backpack. I smiled and nodded.
"Alright see ya!" He walked away with his friends heading to his class. I just stood there, a blushing mess. Melissa giggled and snapped her fingers trying to snap me out of my trance.
"I thought you said you didn't like him" she giggled as I hid my red face.
" whatever, let's go to class. " I got up and walked to the busy crowded hallways.
The rest of the day went by fast and it was soon time to see him and get my present.. Oh my god.. What if the present is that he likes me?..
