The Fog

Short Story ...

"Okay, how about we go from the back, into the window, through the halls, to their rooms. How about that? Sounds good?"

Gabriela questions with very little patience to the other six people surrounding her.

"The window is most likely going to be locked, idiot." Diana replies with an eye roll, while fixing the braid she made.

"Then we break it." Drake speaks with a shrug from his spot by the tree.

"I'll do it!" The twin brothers, Tyler and Tim, exclaim with eagerness. They glance at each other for a minute and then narrow their eyes at one another.

"I said, I'll do it," Tim growls out at Tyler.

"Shut up you morons!" Anna yells and grabs their ears, yanking them down.

"You two will wake up the leaders, then our moms and the leaders will kill us all." She finishes with a menacing voice.

"Guys? The plan," Gabriela's voice causes the others to turn to her.

"So, were gonna do it and we should get going." She gives them all a grin and the others smile back with excitement.

After all, nothing can go wrong. . .

"Man, I wonder where this fog came from. . ." Luke says with some unease as he pushes his glasses up.

"You afraid of some clouds, Luke?" Diana asks with a smirk.

The seven teenagers had headed on the trail to the leaders cabin, to do what trouble makers do best.

"No!" He replies a little too quickly, then lets out a cough as he shakes his head.

"Its just that I read this one story, on pinterest-"

"Really man? Are we gonna get another one of your creepy waffle stories?" Tyler interrupts with an UN -amused look.

"First of all, you're a scardy cat  And seriously, how do you get waffles? Their nothing alike." Luke retorts.

"Okay, okay. We get it. Now get back to what you were saying earlier." Gabriela urges, suddenly interested in the spooky story.

"Yeah, back to what I was saying," He clears his throat.

"The story was about, how these two kids were out outside camping in the woods. It went well so far. The games, food, and stories. But it was when they were in bed, that something went terribly wrong," Luke looks at the six teenagers dead in the eye before re-continuing where he left off.

"Midnight fell and nature had called-"

"Are you kidding me!?" Diana interrupts with disbelief.

"Yo, yo, yo that is some scary stuff!" Drake exclaims, widening his eyes.

"Have you ever had to wake up in the middle of the night just to pee? For real, the most scariest thing." Drake insists to the girls who stare at them with annoyance and humor.

"Uh, nope." Anna replies with a laugh and the other girls agree.

The boys stare at the girls with a strange mixture of disbelief and unconvinced.
