"How you feeling baby?" Aunt Louis say's once we're both settled in the car.

"I feel like Kailani", I mumble.

"You know what I meant chile' . I know you not trying to get smart with me?" She says.

Laughing lightly, i examine my Aunt. Pretty brown skin, light brown hair with little strings of grey in it, Dark brown almond shaped eyes. My Auntie was a beautiful woman. I'm gonna miss her.

I sigh lightly. "I don't know how I feel to be honest with you Auntie" , I mumble.

She glances at me quickly before directing her eyes back on the road.

"I understand what your going through Kay, but you have to realize that your father was young, & he truly didn't know how to handle being a single parent."

Slightly rolling my eyes , I continue looking out of my window.

"You hear me talking to you chile' ?" She questions.

"Yes ma'am, I hear you. I just don't understand why all of sudden he wants to be Dad Of The Year. I want to know why after 14 years he decides he wants me to come live with him!" I say, slightly raising my voice.

"Lower your voice now, you hea' me?" She said, quickly glancing at me. "He wants to see his daughter Kay, I know your not just gonna easily forgive him. But just give him a chance, Okay?"

I sigh, "Alright." I say quietly

A couple of minutes later we finally reach the airport.

"Just give it a chance baby, I promise if you don't like it there I'll have you on the first flight back to Washington" she says while helping me with my luggage.

I laugh & give her a hug & kiss, "Alright auntie, I'll miss you old lady."

She pulls back from our hug &' gives me a knowing look. "Old? Honey if that's another word for 'sexy' then I must be old as hell." She says.

I grimace, "Ewww, c'mon Aunt Louis. You didn't have to say all that" I laughed.

Chuckling, she shakes her head. "Go ahead baby, before you miss your flight"

Sighing, I give her one last hug before walking on the plane.

"I love you Auntie." I say quietly.

"I love you too sweetie" she says with a smile.

Finally getting settled into my seat I put my headphones on &' patiently wait for my plane to land..

*** 9hours later***

Walking out of the airport I silently search for my father.
Still Looking around, I notice a man that looks a tad bit like me walking towards me with a bright smile.

Reaching me he examines me closely, me doing the same to him.

Finally breaking the awkward silence he suddenly pulls me into a warm hug.

"Oh my babygirl, you've grown so much." He says while releasing me from the hug.

"Uhh, yeah. Hey Rick, how are you?" I say, not sure if I should have called him Dad or not.
