Authors note: BE READY TO READ A LOT. SIT DOWN AND ENJOYYYYYY

So here's how it all starts. Seven different people, seven different places. Alex Fields, Brooke Hemsworth, Amber Johnson, Nathan Kole, Harry Madden, Will McHugh, and Logan Washington. All chosen precisely out of millions. As of right now they have no idea they're any different from any other teenager. But soon their worlds will get flipped upside down and hung from the ceiling.

Alex Fields.

I sit here in Mr. Whayers third period Calculus, staring at the large Prometheon Board in the front of the class. Its originally white front now infested with math equations. I break my gaze and look out the window to my left, I see the tall pines that surround this section of my highschool. I focus my attention back on to the teacher.

"And so I hope you all have been listening, because next week we have our finals,"

Theres low sighs or boo's from my fellow classmates.

"Anyways, as I was saying I hope,"

Riiiiiiinnngggg.

The classroom phone interrupts him. He walks over to his desk and picks up the phone. All of us are somewhat curious about the phone call but naturally the teenagers around me end up taking this opportunity to talk to their friends. Some may be complaining about the upcoming finals, some may be gossiping about people they don't like, and then theres me. I bend down under my desk and pull out my book. Like usual, I don't socialize or pay much attention to the phone call happening. Soon we all hear Mr. Whayer put the phone down, and out fear of detention, we pay attention immediately.

"Ms. Fields, you're needed down in the office."

The simple sentence escapes his mouth, and to every pubescent sophomore around me, its just another phone call. But for me, a straight A, perfect attendance student. Its a nightmare. Why would they possibly need me down at the office. I have never done a single thing that would need me down there. I've never missed a single moment of class. Not for the nurses office, not to go to the bathroom. Never. This is gong to ruin my perfect attendance. Everything I have worked for. Down the drain...

"Uhm, Alex, If you could make your way to the office. They said it was sort of urgent."

I get shaken from my thoughts. I see everyone turn in their desks and look at me. I quickly shove all my supplies into my bag and swing it over my shoulder while I stand up. I slowly make my way up to the front of the class. Before I walk out the door I turn around and walk up to Mr. Whayer.

"Are you sure it was so urgent that I have to miss class. I have perfect attendance."

He looks me in the eyes.

"Alex, Office, Now."

I turn around and quickly make my way out of the classroom. As I pass the wall art, and blue lockers I cant help my mind from wandering. Mr. W said it was urgent. But unless someone died, or I have won a noble prize, there is absolutely no reason for me to have left my seat in Mr. Whayers classroom. I should be listening to him finish his talk about finals. I should be looking outside and watching the trees sway with the wind. I could be watching Jonah and Jessie passing notes to each other right now. I turn to the right and see the white door. Above it hangs a sign printed with 'main office' on it. I reach my hand out and angrily twist the metal handle. I push open the door to see my mother sitting patiently in one of the many blue chairs.
