Some Place

It all started when my mom said she got a job as a movie director. I was happy for her yes, but that means I have to move. I mean the hardest thing is that I had to leave my best friend, Monica. I was not exactly sure how to tell her. I mean I am moving to Holly Wood. A dream place! I was just not excited. But, here is the thing. Me not being excited didn't make a difference. I still had to pack my bags the next day.

All my drawings were sprawled across the room as I was packing. Tall stacks of books were every where, and, of course all my clothes were covering every space of my floor. If I hadn't been packing I would have been having to clean up my room. I guess that was something good about moving.

The sun broke the cracks in my window as my mom came in to tell me that we had to go to the school to get all my things. My shoulders sunk. Why had I been so stupid enough to not tell my friend Monica about the move. I sighed. "Hey mom I have like a lot of homework to do. Can we go later?"

"Sure Jenifer, I just thought you would want to take a break from packing, for a little while," My mom replied, "and I thought you would want to see Monica one last time."

One last time. Hearing those word one last time made a lump in my throat. I looked around at all my books in messy stacks and stared at them. One last time. Those words just did not seem right. All my books toppled over as I thought about those words deeply. I sighed picking up the books and then I realized that my mom was still standing at my door. " We can go in a minute just let me pick these books up," I replied quietly.

"Alright come to the car when you are ready," replied my mom softly.
