Dark Vs Light
Briefly, dark fantasy combines fantasy with elements of horror. The term can be used broadly to refer to fantastical works that have a dark, gloomy atmosphere or a sense of horror and dread.
Now the definition is out of the way, let's get down to the good stuff!

Round 1. Scores have been tallied and I'm pleased to announce that ... Drum roll please... everyone has made it through!
Confused?
Due to the number of drop outs, we've decided to forego eliminations for round 1. Don't worry though, your scores will be added to the round 2 scores and an average taken. The four lowest average scores will be eliminated.
Here are the rules for this round...
●Your entry must be written in the Fantasy subgenre Dark Fantasy.
●You must portray your main character's personality according to your given group
●Your story be heavily influenced by your chosen setting and time period
●Your story must be between 2,000 and 6,000 words.
● Your group has no bearing on how you will be judged. The entries with the five lowest average scores will be eliminated at the end of this round.
● You will be judged on:
*How well your story represents the given subgenre (5 pts.)
*How well you used your chosen prompts (3 pts. Character / 3 pts. Setting / 3 pts. Time period)
*Spelling, punctuation, and grammar (5 pts.)
*Overall likeability of your story according to the judges (10 pts.)

You have been split into two random groups, dark and light. Dark group must have a villainous main character, while Light must have a heroic main character.
