Within no time Daichi and the stranger started a conversation.

"Kuroo Tetsurou." The stranger brought his hand over in greeting.

"Sawamura Daichi." Daichi grabbed the young man's hand. He had a strong grip. Kuroo seemed to be several inches taller than him. He looked up into his eyes and found that they were golden.  Interesting. He let go of his hand.

"Sawamura...That sounds familiar.."

"Does it?"

He nodded. "Wait! Do you happen to play volleyball?"

"Yes...I was captain of my college team at Karasun-"

"No wonder I thought I heard your name somewhere! You're practically a legend in college sports." Kuroo looked at him with a bit of awe. "You were the captain of the team  with the freak duo."

Daichi smiled at the memory of Hinata and Kageyama. Ever since they joined the team at Karasuno college, the team has been ranked 1st in the country.  "I was sad to leave the team behind." Daichi  said

"I would have been to, I was captain of my high school team, I was middle blocker, it was a great feeling watching your team grow."

That's exactly how Daichi felt.

"The plane ride will now start. Please Buckle your seat belts  and put all electronics off or on airplane mode as an attendant goes through safety precautions."

Daichi and Kuroo went quiet and did as they were told. He watched as Kuroo went to put his phone in his pocket, and he peaked at him. High cheekbones, tanned skin, pointed chin, long lashes, and now that he knew it, Daichi could see how this man could have been a volleyball player, with a lithe body and sinewy muscles. Daichi felt his cheeks warm slightly and looked away.

"We thank you for choosing  Ryokako Airlines and hope you enjoy the ten hour flight to Sacramento California USA . "

Daichi and Kuroo leaned back in their chairs and got ready for takeoff. Daichi looked curiously over at Kuroo and saw that he had gotten nervous and had a little sheen of sweat above his brow.

"Hey man, you ok?" Kuroo looked at him. "Yeah I'm just not very keen of heights." He looked away. "I didn't bring my meds to calm me down.."

Thats when the plane started to speed fast down the runway and Kuroo winced and closed his eyes and clenched the armrests of the chairs with his hand.

Daichi without thinking took the man's hand. Kuroo opened his eyes and looked  him.

"Sorry!" Daichi started to let go but Kuroo clenched his hand before he could. "Please don't let go.." He mumbled. Daichi nodded and the plane started to lift.

Kuroo, internally freaking out,  held his hand tightly. He had his eyes clenched closed and his head leaning back on the chair. Daichi found himself running his thumb across the surface of Kuroo's hand in a way of comfort.

When they were fully in the air, up thousands of feet, Daichi let go of his hand and leaned down to grab his bag from underneath the chair. Kuroo who had calmed down a bit looked over at Daichi and watched him grab a Macbook.

Daichi looked over at him and smiled. "Movie?"

Kuroo smiled and nodded enthusiastically.

Kuroo POV

Daichi turned to him and smiled showing his small dimples "Movie?"

'Anything to distract me.' Kuroo nodded. He looked at Daichi. He was an extremely attractive man. He had one of those happy go lucky faces that made everyone seem at ease and his smile was contagious. He smirked. Daichi tried to detangle the earbuds they would have to share the movie.

He then made the mistake of looking at the window behind Daichi....  SHITSTICKS THATS HOW HIGH WE ARE???

"Holy shit, holy shit." He looked away.

"You ok? Daichi turned to him and must of realized that Kuroo was freaking out.

"Hey  it's alright." Daichi patted his shoulder. Without saying anything he closed the window.

Kuroo felt his face redden slightly in embarrassment. He just had to meet  hot legendary volleyball player when he was at his weakest now didn't he.

Kuroo calmed his breathing and once he had, Daichi handed out one of the earbuds for him. Kuroo enthusiastically took it and plugged it in his ear. Daichi let Kuroo choose the movie, there were plenty he had downloaded for the trip. Kuroo scanned the list just as an attendant reached their seat.

"Any refreshments or food for you?" Her name tag read Yachi Hitoka. Kuroo thought it over and asked for some coke and chips while Daichi got some cranberry flavored drink and thin wheats.

"Cranberry?" Kuroo asked.

"Eh I've always  had a thing for the flavor. So which one you choose?" Daichi looked at Kuroo expectantly.

"Well..." Kuroo looked at the list again. "Whats this one about?" He pointed To the third one.

Daichi looked at him in disbelief, his chocolate eyes wide and mouth open. "You mean you haven't seen Captain Phillips!?"

Kuroo laughed at his surprise. "No?"

"We are watching it. You can't not see it. It got so many Oscar nominations."

Kuroo laughed. "Alright." Maybe this won't be as bad as he thought.
