It was a regular night for Tyler. He was ready to go to sleep, but was procrastinating again and going on his phone. However, the night felt eerie. Tyler wasn't afraid of the dark, but something about that night felt wrong. There wasn't any noise regarding walking, though Tyler could sense something in the hallway. Tyler thought it was probably just their puppy. When he opened the door, his eyes could not believe what it had just seen. His parents lying down with ragged clothes as if it had been torn apart and scars that had Crimson red written on it. Mrs. And Mr. Nelson didn't seem to mind their suffering and pain. They were busy being utterly terrified by what lay behind Tyler. He turned around to face his room and there it was. A shadow starting back at Tyler. The shadow spit flames at him. Tyler dodged the attack, but it didn't prevent the house from burning down. Before Tyler could even blink, Tyler passed out in the heat and the most of all confusion and terror.

The first thing Tyler could hear was not the sizzling of his own burning body or the cry of his parents' possible death, but instead the sound of a heart monitor. "How'd I get here," Tyler called out. To his dismay, there was no one around. Just curtains, a tv and other mechanical machines. "A hospital?" Tyler thought. "I thought I was dreaming. This can't actually be happening. What happened to my mom then? My dad? Where are they?" He started taking deep breaths, seeing as he needed to wait for somebody to give him answers. "This has to be a dream. Maybe I feel unconscious and now I am in the hospital because of it. But that .... th-that thing. What was it? That doesn't even exist?"
*knock, knock*
Tyler's trail of thought had been cut off by
knocking, followed a creaky door opening. "It's just a nurse," Tyler thought to himself, "she won't know a thing, but I might as well ask."
The nurse stuck her head into the room. She looked at Tyler and snuck her head behind the door. She sighed as she entered the room with a tray of food.
"Here's your food," she said, quickly passing him the tray. "Well, I have to go so bye." She reached out for the handle, but as she did, Tyler called out. "Wait."
She turned around and looked at him. "Do you have any idea when a doctor will be coming? Or where I could get any information from? It's sound strange, but I don't remember what happened to me?"
"Um, I don't-" Her eyebrows furrow. "W-wait you're that guy."
