It was about 5:45 am when Kevin woke up, startled by rustling on the bed. He looked up to see his boyfriend, Jamie getting ready to start delivering the Beach City mail. Kevin closed his eyes again, because it was fuckin 5:45 am. He felt a pair of lips kiss his forehead followed by footsteps, and the opening and closing of the door. After he left, Kevin let his face heat up. He chuckled a little, rolled over and went back to sleep, though he had to admit it was harder to get to sleep without Jamie here with him.

Time Skip to when Jamie comes home

Kevin laid on the couch, checking things on his phone, when he heard the opening and closing of his door. He looked over to see Jamie walking inside. "Welcome home, babe," uttered Kevin. He went back to checking his phone, only to be interrupted by something next to him. Or someone. Kevin wrapped his arm around Jamie and kissed his forehead while holding him closer. "How's the delivery business going?" He asked. "Pretty good," answered Jamie. "Not much was happening, just going to houses and giving them their mail." Jamie sighed contently and leaned into Kevin more, which made Kevin chuckle.

Time skip to about like 7pm

Kevin got up from his bed, after the movie ended. "Well, it's time for me to get to the race, baby. I'll see you later," he got up, but stopped before he opened it, and he turned around. "Unless, you'd like to come with me?" Jamie's cheeks reddened. "You want me to come with you?" He asked. Kevin smirked. "Of course, babe. It could be fun. You coming or not, love?" Jamie's face got even redder. "Uh, yeah! I'd love to!" He responded.

Later in the car, Kevin fussed over Jamie's seatbelt. "Jeez, babe, when did you start caring so much about safety?" Jamie asked. "Since I had someone to care about. Plus, we'll be going really fast, and I don't want you to get hurt." Jamie chuckled. "Aw, you care about me!" Kevin blushed. "Of course I do. You're my boyfriend. Now shush."

When they got to the race, people were surprised to see that Kevin had brought his boyfriend. Kevin ignored their confusion. "Alright now, who wants to race?" A random person in the crowd raised their hand. "Alright then, let's get up the mountain, we start at the beginning of the hour." He got into the car and buckled himself up again. "Alright babe, let's get up there." At the top of the mountain, they sat there for five minutes before the start. "Okay, it'll start any time now, you ready?" He asked. "Uh, yeah. Let's go then." Jamie blushed a little. Truth was, Jamie got carsick whenever a car he was in was going super fast. It wasn't something he had told Kevin before, but probably should have.

Finally, the race started, and the car shot forward at top speed, jerking Jamie forward. Jamie had started to get slightly nauseous, but tried to ignore it. Eventually he couldn't anymore. "I don't feel so good..." Kevin noticed this. "Not in the car! Not in the car!" He rolled down the window, and Jamie stuck his head out and threw up. Kevin took one hand off the steering wheel and rested it on Jamie's back. "Sorry, I get carsick sometimes," said Jamie, wiping his mouth with a Kleenex that Kevin handed to him. Then he heard Kevin start laughing.

"Hey! What's so funny about me getting sick?" He asked. "No Jamie! Look! Haha!" Jamie looked out the window to see the opponent car parked with vomit all over the windshield and he was able to hear loud curses coming from the other car. Jamie laughed surprisingly. When they got to the bottom, they got out, and the crowd had mixed responses due to Kevin and Jamie. Then a car with a dirty windshield came down. The person came out of the car and started shouting again. Jamie started to feel bad to hear all those curses, until he felt a strong arm wrap around him.

"Hey! It's not his fault! He just got a little sick! The car was going pretty fast, it wasn't his fault, you douchebag!" Jamie blushed and looked down as the opponent and Kevin shouted at each other. After that argument, Kevin agreed to let Jamie sit out in the crowd while he continued the races. After the races, he put his arm around Jamie again, and helped him up. "Alright now love, let's go home at normal speed." "O-okay.." He chuckled and got into the car. And yet again, Kevin kept fussing over his seat belt like a mom.
