On a night almost like any other, two people sat in a house near a beach, with a small baby between them. The night may have been calm, but the tension between the couple was steadily rising. A man and women stared at each other, neither willing nor wanting to speak. The man spoke first, "Aria, I don't know what to say. She's beautiful, but I-I can't keep her." Aria looked back at the man with a hurt expression. Before she could speak, the baby wriggled in her arms, and started to cry. Aria tried to soothe the baby then turned back to the man, " What do you mean you can't keep her? She's your child too, Aaron."

"I know she is Aria, but I can't raise a half-breed liker her. She looks to much like you for her to be raised in a normal house, and with all the powers you have, hers are going to be just as strong. We could always have someone else who's more capable raise her. Someone who can keep her powers in check." The man tried to reach out to Aria and the baby, but she moved back before he could touch them.

"Fine, if you don't want to raise her, I will. I'll raise her by myself, and raise her to belong with dragons instead of humans." Aaron could hear her anger rising.

"Aria, don't be like that, that's not what I meant. It's not that I don't want her here, I really do, I just -

"No, I know exactly what you meant." Aria stood up to leave, and walked to the door. Aaron stopped her just before she walked out the door, "Wait, if you really going to take her, can't I at least help name her before you leave? If you ever decide to visit, I want to be able to know what to call our daughter."

Aria sighed, "Alright, what do think we should name her?"

"I want it to be something unique, something powerful and not easily forgotten."

"Any specific suggestion?"

"Hmm, lemme think. How about...Phoenix.

Aria looked down at her daughter, who looked right back at her. The baby had white hair that was starting to curl and tan skin. Instead of having filled eyes like herself, her daughter surprisingly had human eyes, though they were still the same color. Aria nodded in agreement. Aaron smiled sadly as Aria stepped outside, spread her wings and looked back at him, "I didn't want it to end like this Aaron, but I won't abandon my little treasure." With that said, Aria turned back around, and took off towards the mountains to raise Phoenix. Aria flew around the mountains until she finally found a suitable cave that they could both stay in. By the time she found it, the last of the blue moon disappeared over the mountain ridge, and Aria was once again in her dragon form. She picked up Phoenix, and walked into their new home.
