The world had thrown itself at England's feet. The global take over had terrified everyone. Innocents being taken from their families. People being hung, drawn and quartered at the queens will. But in the middle of it all was the royal family. One child stood out in particular. Joshua. The child had separated himself from his siblings at birth. His "problem" as his family called it was nothing more than a split personality. Around parties with a formal attendance, he acted according to the social etiquette. But around pain and suffering, he opened his eyes to relish in every drop of blood; every scream of pain and all the smells of burnt flesh. Of course during all these feelings he would black out and continue to relish even then.

One day at a slave auction, Josh saw a pretty young lady, slave of course, and begged his mother to buy her for him. The queen was proud that her son had taken an acceptance to how sadistic he actually was. He returned home with the girl in his hand. Josh's green eyes glazed along the girls skinny frame and felt bad for her. He took her into the kitchen and stole some cheese just for her. They had quickly made friends in his head but in hers, she had found her way out of slavery.

At around the same time, there was panic on the streets. A little boy had massacred his entire family for fun it had seemed. His now black eyes roamed among all the peasants and the poor. His black tendrils protruding from his back picking out the least likely to be missed. And he ripped them apart while howling with laughter. The muskets of the police fired again and again but to almost no avail. He was healing wounds quicker than they were making them. Then from the rooftops jumped down a man in all black with a red knife and cut it deep into the child's back. He screamed but now the police were making progress. Further in the background 3 girls sat on watching through their hands. "A shame. He was powerful. He was not entirely useless." One of the girls giggled.
"Yes his power was rare among our little subspecies." One of the other girls seriously replied.
"There's always more fish in the sea." The final one said snooping down from their perch.
