Umalis na ako. At least, nabawasan naman yung sakit. I turned the radio on. Bakit ba ganito?

Agad ko namang pinatay yung radio. A simple song can bring back a lot of memories.

Mom calling..

"Ma?"

"Anak, go to our house later, okay? We need to discuss something."

"Ok, Ma. I'll be going home first. I need to change."

"Bakit? Sa'n ka ba galing?"

"Sa airport po, Ma. Specifically, sa likod. I just needed to shout everything I feel."

"Oh, okay. Bilisan mo para di ka magkakasakit, okay?"

"Opo, Ma. See you nalang po there."

"Okay, anak. See you.."

I hope it's not about the god damn marriage. I don't and I never will give a fuck about that god damn wedding.

Nang dumating ako sa bahay, naligo muna ako at nagbihis.

Pumunta na ako sa bahay. Pero rerespetuhin ko parin ang parents ko.

"Hi, Ma," I said without any emotion. "What's the matter?"

"We're going to discuss about your--" What? "Oh, good afternoon, Aprilyn!"

"Hello, Myraquel!" Sabi ni Tita Aprilyn.

"Hello po, Tita Aprilyn." Sabi ko at ngumiti.

"Hi, hija. Well, I believe we can now start discussing about their wedding," WTF "I mean, since andito naman rin si James."

"Sure! Let's have lunch while discussing," Jusko, please guide me. Mukhang 'di ko 'to kakayanin,e.

Walang umiimik sa aming dalawa. Wala na bang mas-awkward sa situation na 'to?!

"Anak, I cooked your favorite!" Sabi ni Mama at pinakita yung lasagna.

"Aprilyn, James, help yourselves. Specialty ko 'yan! Paborito pa ni Nadine since bata pa siya, e!" Tuwang kwento ni Mama.

"Ma, they did not need to know that." Sabi ko at sumubo.

"Kain ka nalang, anak. Panira ka, e." Sabi ni Mama.

Don't mind. Ganyan talaga kami ni Mama, e. Pero, may mabubunyag nanaman na sikreto
daldal kasi ni Mama, e! Which is.. truee.

"Yeah, Ma. I'll shut up. Huwag ka lang madaldal, pretty please?" Sabi ko.

"Let's just discuss about the wedding," Sabi ni Mama. "Well, it will be on February 15." Sabi niya.

"M-ma, seryoso ka ba? Pwede bang next next next next next year nalang?" Sabi ko at sumubo

"Sorry, babygirl--" ARGGH! Do I look like a baby girl?! May Naomi na nga sila, e!

"Ma, I'm not a babygirl anymore!" Sabi ko. I'm really just annoyed.

"Aprilyn, any ideas about the upcoming wedding?" Can we like just stop this bullcrap?!

"Ma, can I pick up Naomi from school?" Sabi ko. Well, they can talk about it. But I want it WITHOUT me. Well, nakuha ko 'yon sa www.palusotninadine.com.

"Si Manong na susundo kay Nao--" No, not today, mother.

"I insist, Ma. Pretty please? Thanks!" Sabi ko at tumayo.

"I'll go ahead too." Sabi ni James ba yung pangalan nun?

"ROBERT JAMES REID!"

I just shrugged my questions in mind and left.
