today we are going over to annies house to have a cookout. it's to celebrate life after Caleb died just a week ago. I'm still in shock. that my bestfriend is gone. I've had this crush on Annie for years, but no I can't date her. I don't wanna let her down. so I can't tell her...
"Brennan help us get the cooler in the trunk." Katie yelled at me.
"coming!" I yelled back. after everything got packed into the car we were off.

I really really really really miss Caleb. the other day I saw this "What if Caleb Died" video and I just broke down. it's so hard to believe he's gone... Brennan, Katie, and Ryan are coming over to hang out and sleepover. his dad is on a business trip, and Ms. Jill is gonna stay over too. it's hopefully gonna cheer us all up. I heard the doorbell ring.
"ILL GET IT!" I yelled. I opened the door and Brennan was there but I thought it was Katie so I wrapped my arms around him and squealed,
"KATIE I MISSED YOU!!" until Katie said,
"Annie. I'm over here." I looked up seeing Brennan just laughing and Katie cracking up. I immediately got red to the face and got butterflies in my stomach. I pushed away my feelings that I had for Brennan after Caleb passed away. it's just for the best if we are JUST friends. right?
"oh umm Brennan I was-" I was cut off by him
"it's okay Annie really." and he hugged me back. I got butterflies in my stomach. ever since Caleb passed away, I've just though of Brennan as a brother. but now I feel like he's more. but I can't do that to Katie or liv. Liv has the biggest, I mean BIGGEST, crush on brennan. she's one of my best friends and she'd kill me if I dated him.

so at about 10:00 Me, Katie and Brennan went downstairs to sleep. Ryan and Hayley fell asleep on the couch, cuties.
"so it's only 10:04 and I'm bored." Brennan said breaking the silence.
"umm I'm kinda bored too." I added.
"wanna play truth or dare?" Katie suggested. Brennan smiled. I smiled.
"umm yeah that sounds fun." Brennan and I said together in unison.
"okay truth or dare Annie?" Katie said starting off the game.
"hmm.. truth?"
"oh I got it!"
