The two little hands holding on tightly as the whole world shattered... Faint screams heard in thin air....the smell of burning and smoke spreading throughout the area....the hands were pulled apart when the shattering roof came down.... The children screaming for each other... And the color of red stained the setting...and everything goes black but a faint mutter heard made out to be "I'm sorry I let go...."
One of the little girls know to be Alyssa.... Awaken In a hospital bed accompanied by a nurse at her side...the smell of smoke and the color red nowhere to be found...."where is my family?" The little girl said worried..."in a better place" the nurse said back... The little girl sobbed....
Within a year a 23 year old lady adopted her... Sorry for her she did everything she could to make her feel welcome.... The 13 year old girl not feeling okay.... Not wanting to go to school...the attitude carried on.... Nightmares and trauma.... And nobody could understand her.... She locked herself away from the world until....
Alyssa's POV:
"No! I'm not going!"
"Oh yes you are young lady, It's a better experience and healthy for you to be socially active!" My mother said in all seriousness
I stormed upstairs not believing what my mother did behind my back....school something I haven't faced in forever and now.... Tomorrow.... I have to start my junior year in highschool.... Thinking I would take online lessons again.... But no my stupid mother goes and signs me up for public school behind my back and tells me a day in advance.... So I called the one person I have not talked to in 2 years
I clicked the contact name that read Reece. And called. Suprise she answered. Did you catch the sarcasm. I heard a faint "hello" from the other side (adele reference) of the line.
"Hello..." I answered back..."who is this?" She said confused
"This is Reece Michaels right?" I said for confirmation
"Yes? Who is this?" She said anxiously
"Alyssa Rivers..." I said admitting.
"Hold up? Alyssa Rivers is making a social reaction with I Reece Michaels? Pinch me I'm dreaming!" She said.
I giggled at that.
"Can you come over to help me get ready for school tomorrow?" I said
"You take online school.... WAIT A SECOND!" She said
"My mom is making me go to public this year..."
"You know it wasn't your fault..."
I stayed silent until she had the urge to break the silence.
"OH MY GOSH EVERYONE WILL BE SO EXCITED! AND YOU GET TO MAKE A DRAMATIC ENTRANCE!!!!" She screamed through the phone and my ears inside out
"Well damn I was gonna use that ear! And what did you mean by dramatic entrance??? And Everyone??" I said questioning her.
"Well too bad that ear was no good anyways! And it's already a week into school silly!!! And b-" I cut her off there
"WHAT!!!!! A WEEK!!!!" I said.
"Yeah??"
"Ugh! And everyone?
"The gang!!" She said in a duh tone.
"The gang?"
"Well duh!!" And there it is!
"Who is th- wait! THE gang!!! Y'all are still friends!!!!" I said in a wow tone
"Yup" she replied
"Well I need you're help tomorrow be here around 6:30??"
"OKAY IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!
Inviting Reese over may have been a mistake. But I'm happy for her.
