My name is Zael Azuraki, I'm a 15 year old man (I like to think I'm a man, even though my age) and I live in a small house in the residential districts of Japan, with my parents, whom are on a business trip in the US for a few months. I am Japanese, same with my family, we lived in the countryside for a few years til we decided to move into my great grandmother's house, who lived by the OH so famous "Konohara High", who was owned by the deceased family of Aeijikumo Konohana.
Now the story goes that the Great Cherry Blossom Tree in the fields outside the city of Tokyo, by the sacred shrine of Omikami Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess, states that the family's mansion, which has long been abandoned and dilapidated, is said to be "haunted" by demons who weren't slain by the sun goddess. All my friends are creeped out by it, but I believe it's just to creep people out, and in my case, it is, because it creeps me out as well, yeah you probably thought it doesn't creep me out, but it does.
I've been spooked by it so much that I don't go there on my bike rides, I just go throughout the city, go to the tree, the shrine and then ride back home, through the cherry blossom tree fields near Konohana High, where I'm starting freshman year in, same as my other friends I've known since kindergarten: Tomoki Airo, Shinji Kumasa, and Kirenshi Imura. We were inseparable, we all basically lived together, since they all visited and crashed at my house a lot growing up. The funny thing is we all met in the countryside, and since all of us hated to have been separated, their families moved as well with us to the village. Shinji and Kirenshi lived next door to me on both sides, and Tomoki lived across from my house. We all were very nervous, like when we all graduated and had our ceremony, but when we found out we all were in the same classes, we couldn't help but celebrate
That celebration was the happiest day of our lives, because it was at the festival in the park where the shrine was, we bought masks, ate the food, played the games, it was just a great time for all of us, then we saw the fireworks, the best part out of all the festivals, where we saw dragons, cherry blossoms, bombs, fire tricks, the whole thing was beautiful. And that was the day we all became best friends.
And now, on to the story!
