Vampires were not allowed to speak to humans, no matter the circumstance. At birth, vampires were assigned to groups and they were required to stay with that specific group. But, Gilbert Beilschmidt was pretty much never with them because he didn't like all the rules/expectations that vampires had to follow.
Roderich Eldestein was an excellent vampire hunter, though he could never find Gilbert because the Prussian was an excellent hider. The two never talked, but tonight that was all going to change.
As Roderich was walking to his normal spot to sit and hunt the vampires, Gilbert hopped down from the tree he was sitting in(which was about 10 feet away from Roderich). Roderich moved his head to where the rustle of the leaves came from.
"Who's there?" Roderich ands got his gun ready.
Gilbert chuckled a bit and walked over to Roderich. "Oh, you're saying you don't know who I am? Well, I'm Gilbert Beilschmidt. I already know who you are, so no introduction from you needed."
"H-H---"
"I've been watching you and your little friends for a while now. I've heard your name and seen your face many times.
Then, out of no where, a gun fired and Roderich fell to the ground trying to not cry out. Rage surged Gilbert's face as his eyes started to glow brightly.
"What the hell?! You shot Roderich!" A hunter said yelling at a recruit.
"I am so sorry! I got nervous!"
"At least you didn't shoot him anywhere that could be crucial... It was just his leg..."
At this point, Gilbert was in full anger and he looked to the vampire hunters. "Leave."
The two hunters ran off as fast as they could. Now that they were gone, Gilbert focused his attention back to the injured vampire hunter. "I have to get you to safety... I could take you to the cave... Ja, that'll probably be the best..." He said talking as he carefully picked up Roderich.
"What the...hell are you doing?!" Roderich said forcing his voice out.
"I am taking you to safety... Calm down... Rest..."
The Austrian sighed and he started to fall asleep in the vampire's arms.
