The Truth

RINNNGGGG RINNNNNNGGGG RIIIINNNNNGGGGG "Hello?" I answer as I pick the phone up off my desk who could be calling at three in the morning and why? I hear a small nervous voice on the other end and it immediately hits me who it is
"Hello, Sammie we need to talk about us, I know we broke up a couple months ago, but I want you back, I'm sorry I hurt you it was wrong I know, and I regret it so much please I'm begging you, I'll get down on my knees baby girl I want you back!"
I felt the tears swell in my eyes. What he did was wrong but it was three months ago and I'm still hurt should I take him back? We were happy for two years until that girl Stella came around.
"Let me think about it. OK?"
"OK"
The line goes dead and I dial my best friend
"Hey Sammie what's up?!"
"Alex, Josh wants me back"
"Wait are you serious?"
"Yup"
"Do you still love him?"
"Yes" I begin sobbing
"Go for it then, but I know someone who wants you more than him"
"Who?"
"Me"
The line goes dead and I try to call back with no response

I wake back up at about eight am not forgetting what went on last night, he words rung in my head. I decide to call Josh back
"Hey, Josh I'm really sorry but my answer is no"
I hear giggling in the background and know instantly he's already with another girl, so I hang up and try to call Alex back again no response, so I drive to her house.
