Lara x Matthew [Requested]

Part II

Lara woke up in the morning to the smell of bacon. She sat up and smiled big  the memories of last night filled her head. She smiled, but let it fall as she noticed Matthew not beside her anymore. She mentally cursed his existence for not being there to cuddle her. She got up and turned the shower on. She got in and began washing her hair and body. Matthew heard the shower turn on and smiled softly knowing she was up. He had cooked an elaborate breakfast for them. Tayah came down the steps laughing and kissing her girlfriend, Bex. She saw Matt and blushed. "Oh! Hey, Matt you spend the night?" She asked, giggling and pushing Bex's face away as she kept kissing her cheek, wrapping her arms around her waist from behind. He nodded, blushing slightly. "Nice. Well we're heading out to get food, so we'll see you later" Tayah smiled as she pulled Bex to the door and outside. Matthew laughed for a moment after they left thinking about how cute they were when they were together. He smiled towards the steps when he saw Lara walk down, and smile at the sight of food.

She went around the counter and hugged around his waist, looking up at him due to the height difference. He leaned his head down and kissed her full lips softly. "Good morning baby" he said softly against her lips. She pulled away and sat at the counter. "Good morning" she smiled. "The food looks amazing." She said. "It was made with love" he smirked. "She chuckled before beginning to eat. "So Tay has a new girlfriend?" He asked. "They uh ran into me in the kitchen this morning, while they were making out." He laughed. Lara laughed and rolled her eyes. "Yes, they never can keep themselves off of each other. It's cute though. She's finally happy so I'm glad. Bex is good for her." She nodded. Matt nodded in understanding.

"Kind of like how I'm good for you right?" He smirked nudging her gently with his elbow as he shoved more pancake into her mouth. "Yes exactly like that" she said softly, continuing to eat.
After they finished eating he took their dishes and went to the sink beginning to wash them. Lara watched the muscles in his back through his t shirt, biting her lip softly. "How'd I get so lucky?" She thought in her head. She began thinking about how they had met. Her mind wandered to the series of unexpected events that lead to them meeting.

Flashback

Lara and Tayah walked through the city, pushing passed rude people who'd refused to move and cutting in front of others with ease. Throughout their lives together they've both grown to be extremely assertive and unapologetic women. They were on their way to see Shakespeare in the park. Neither of them had love interests, therefore they decided to go together. They sat down beside each other in the provided chairs and sat back. They were a little late so it had already started. A tall handsome guy with dark hair shuffled through the crowd and sat beside Lara. He immediately caught her eye, and she immediately caught his. He flashed her a wide grin. "Hi. Matthew, Matthew Daddario" he stuck his hand out. She placed hers in his and smiled back softly, her insides on fire. "Lara Ocasio" she replied. He smiled again softly before returning his attention to the stage.

Tayah was of course already annoying her about their little greeting. Lara just rolled her eyes and kept her focus on the stage. After it was over they had planned to go find smoothies. As they got up to leave Matthew began talking to her again. "Hey. So I was wondering if maybe you'd wanna go out sometime?" He asked. Her stomach filled with butterflies, the familiar feeling nearly making her head hurt. He was gorgeous. Tall, dark hair, toned. "Yeah, sure. My friend Tayah and I were actually about to go grab smoothies and possibly some cookies, you want to come?" She asked him he flashed that beautiful smile and nodded. "Yeah sure that'd be great, as long as your friend doesn't mind" he said.

Tayah smirked, "well actually-" Lara quickly cut her off before she got to make her jackass remark and laughed. "She doesn't mind" she said. He nodded and began walking with them, on a quest for the best smoothies in the city. The rest of that night was filled with many laughs and obviously cute moments between the two. Meanwhile Tayah texted her friend Bex the whole time, without know they're potentially fall in live someday. They had worked together on a movie set. Tayah being the SFX artist and Bex being one of the actors. It just kind of clicked. Ever since that night Lara and Matthew were inseparable. With their close differences, intellectual minds, and same political views it just seemed like a smart match. On the night he asked her out he promised her nothing but happiness, faithfulness, and beyond trust. And ever since then he's delivered.
