Poem 14

I'm outside in the snow
Outside where it's freezing cold
The bitter winter
For the frozen sinner

There's warmth somewhere
Hidden down below here
We all scramble towards it
But soon realize we're falling into a pit

I land with a thud
Along with my best bud
In this eternal winter
Isn't this quite bitter

We're trapped and cold
Are souls might as well be sold
To the highest bidder
Please don't be a killer

I'm the first to go
Into the the lights turned low
Next came my bud
I have they have fun

I'm outside again
Now it's starting to rain
In this bitter winter
I don't want to be a quitter

I'm soon set free
Of all this calamity
For I'm saved
By the suns blinding rays

The demon is blinded
So I took my chance and hiked it
I left him in the dust
Hopefully he'll turn into rust

It's still raining
I start flailing
To get some feeling
Before my skin starts tealing

I'm still outside
Hopefully I will find
Somewhere warm I can stay
That's not too far away

The rain stopped falling
Won't someone help a darling
I hear a noise and I start running
They try to get me but I'm too cunning

I haven't reached the end of the road
Up ahead I see an abode
But then I see it burning
The flames forever churning

Then they go out
I might as well pout
My only sense of heat
I am quite beat

Your inner demons
Aren't the villains
In this bitter winter
That you call a heart
