In my Kindergarten year, I, a five-year naive girl by the name of Yuri, believed I knew everything in the world, as though it revolved around me. I only looked at the unhappy moments, for example my parents used to argue and I put the blame upon myself.
School, or early hell, was no exception, I let the mean comments get to me daily. I felt alone, valuable, and partially useless. Then, a browned haired boy appeared and I thought he could fix and love all of my mistakes and problems. As a naive depressed child a question as simple as what's wrong, feels like a warm hug during a snowy blizzard. The boy had a name, a peculiar name, Redmond. Despite my protest he sat next to me and held a peaceful chat like we were old long time friends, being lonely felt like a long forgotten memory.
Day passed and he became my one and only friend, a person to fight any problem I had, weather emotional or physical. I became like a homeless puppy who finally found a home.
In first grade, whenever I looked at him a full on circus was happening: a soprano bearded lady was singing; acrobats were leaping into each others arms; and a tightrope walker was daring to fall off but held her balance. Looks we shared were innocent and misleading, mines were filled with passion and affection.
After four years of confusing times, we grew up and got closer as friends. Redmond made many friends, but I stayed in my little circle which consisted of Redmond and me. He grew fond of another brunette girl named Hayley, sometime he would ditch me and play with her. After that my hangout spots consisted the bathrooms or the back of the school.
On the first week of December, chilly winds were pulling in and teachers were warming up their rooms. A bell tolled signaling recess, the teacher sighed not able to finish her lessons. I briskly walked to the back of the school, I turned around the conner, my heart twisted and tore, a boy and a girl were kissing with fierce underlaying passion and lust. Black and brown hair flashed though my vision as a motion picture. Tear breamed under my eyes, the movie was going blurry from a 720HD setting going to 144HD. My legs turned and ran away, ugly sobs escaping with every step.
He was a dart thrower who didn't hit the girl, while I was the ugly clown, forever watching in the shadows.
