Better Together (Camren)

Chapter 1

Lauren's POV

I casually walked through Miami Academy's doors and I immediately got disgusted looks. Well you see I'm a nobody in this school and I really don't care about it. I rolled my eyes and walked to my locker. I grabbed my History and Chemistry books then I saw my friends walk towards me. Veronica and Lucy. They were my only best friends here. Oh and I forgot to tell you I'm a Sophomore.

"Hey girl, how was your summer?" Lucy asked me.

"Well boring as usual" I replied.

"It's just the first day, you never know this year will be different" Vero said.

"Yeah sure, I doubt that"

"I'm pretty sure you won't, anyways let's get to class before we're late" Lucy said as we walked to our classes. We had first block together and I was relieved that I have my friends with me. I sat alone while they sat together, but I didn't mind though. I kept my head down until I heard someone sit next to me. I slowly looked up and I froze.

"Hey" She smiled. Oh shit. No way. Camila Cabello is sitting next to me! Not to mention talking to me! She never noticed me until now...

"Hi" I said shyly.

"I'm Camila" She said while she puts her hand out.

"Lauren" I said and I shook her hand. I immediately felt something, but I shook it off. Well you see Camila is the most popular girl in this school. I mean she's beautiful, gorgeous, smart, and very kind. Who wouldn't like her? But wait isn't she a Freshman?

"Wait, aren't you a freshman?" I asked her curiously.

"Hmm yeah but my classes are all advanced" She smiled. Gosh her smile is perfect. I just nodded in reply and the teacher soon came in.

Maybe this year will be different...

Camila's POV

For the rest of first period it was pretty boring but not entirely. Lauren seems to be pretty cool and easy to talk to. Why haven't I noticed her before? Maybe it was because she's a Sophomore and I'm a Freshman? Hmm probably. We actually have a lot of things in common. We even exchanged numbers so we can talk or hang out more. I'm sensing this year will be different...
