(Clark's POV)
"Hey Taylor wait up!" I called to my friend. We were getting ready to go camping in Northern Canada, and I wanted to ask Taylor out before we left.

"Maybe you should catch up instead. I'm not walking that fast you're in track you should be ahead of me." Taylor joked she did have a point but she was still walking fast. Taylor finally stopped walking after a few minutes and let me catch up. We went to the park because we had finished packing and were just waiting on the others.

"Taylor I've been meaning to ask you will you go out with me?" I asked her when we sat down on a park bench.

"Finally you ask I've, been waiting you know." She said sarcastically.

"So that's a yes I take it."

"Yes I will go out with you." Taylor said right as Maddie, Caleb, Hayden, Martin, and Elizabeth showed up at the park. Maddie had dated Hayden, Caleb and Martin then broke up with them in less then a week. Of course she had dated them at different times, but she wasn't good at keeping relationships.

"So now that you guys are done with that how about we go to the airport. The plane leaves in a few hours, and it takes an hour to get to the airport." Maddie said clearly wanting to question Taylor about us dating.

"Okay I'll meet you at the airport. Hayden need a ride?" I asked Hayden knowing he doesn't have a car yet.

"You know I need a ride. Caleb you want a ride too?" Hayden asked Caleb quickly before leaving after Caleb said he had to walk Maddie home. I don't know why he's so nice to Maddie after she broke up with him.

The car ride was silent which was weird for Hayden because he usually doesn't stop talking.

"What's up Hayden I can tell something is wrong." I told him without taking my eyes off the road.

"So I was reading up on where we are going camping. The spot is inside wolf territory, and the wolf pack is said to be lead by a huge black wolf. The black wolf is said to have preyed on humans in the past. Accoring to some Norse Myths." Hayden said and I burst out laughing.

"Dude you know myths aren't real so why are you so freaked out about this one."

"The site showed a picture of the alpha wolf." Hayden said while showing me a picture of a huge black wolf with almost glowing yellow eyes that seemed to stare back at you. The wolf had huge white fangs and dark black fur with no scars what so ever. It was a scary picture, but I refused to believe the myth.

"If that wolf has killed so many people how does it not have a mark on it? I'm telling you all of this is fake it's nothing to worry about." I said trying to reassure him.

"But if the wolf does come I'm sure it'll eat you first." I said in a dramatic voice.

"Dude stop it isn't funny can we just stop talking about it." He said while turning on the radio. Not another word was spoken the whole ride, and Hayden still looked nervous. I don't know why he's so freaked out about this, a wolf is afraid of people.

We all borded the plane I sat by the window with Taylor next to me. I put in my ear buds and listened to music. I hated plane rides after my cousin had almost died in one but I know the chances of that happening are very unlikely. I fell asleep and when I woke up Taylor told me I had only slept for about two hours we had a six hour plane ride before we had to get on a small bush plane to get up north.
