Different Ways (Michael Clifford)

Alex was walking to school when she noticed a small cat up in a tree. She frowned to herself and gently put her school supplies onto the grassy ground and walked to the tree. The cat was laying on a branch but it didn't look happy. Its body was shaking like a leaf and it kept mewing quietly. Long pitiful mews.

Alex rolled up the sleeves of her maroon shirt. She reached up and grabbed the nearest branch. Using the branch she quickly pulled herself up and grabbed another branch. Her feet were planted on the trees base. Alex bit her lip and continued this process until her feet found resting places on branches. The poor tabby cat was a few arms lengths away.

Alex Crawled onto a branch and started slowly inching towards the cat. A gasp was heard from bellow. Alex looked down and saw 3 other girls looking up at her. It was Tori, Danni, and Rose from her school. They were the 3 most popular girl in the school. Tori with her wavy waist lengthed dirty-blonde hair, Danni with her straight sun blonde hair, and Rose with her straight brown? hair. Rose constantly dyed her hair different colours. She never went with greens and blues just light light pinks and light light purples and you get the point.

Alex sighed and rolled her eyes and continued towards the cat.

"Here kitty!" She whispered and made small kissing noises. The tabby cat looked at her and slowly began inching towards her. Alex smiled and sat up, leaning against the trees body with the cat in her arms.

"That is so yucky! Ugh just think about all the dirt!" Tori cried out.

"You're so weird! Alex get down this instant!" Rose demanded.

"It's very un girl like to climb trees." Danni said, almost too quietly for Alex to hear. Alex ignored the girls and ran her fingers through the tabby cats soft fur. The cat began to purr softly and it made Alex smile proudly.

"Let's get you down." She whispered to the cat. She began very slowly climbing down a few branches with the at in one of her arms. It wasn't easy at all. Once she though it was safe enough for the cat to jump she set the ball of fur onto a branch. The tabby leapt off. Landing on all fours. Alex smiled before making her way all the way down the tree. Once she was off she brushed off her jeans and blew the hair out of her face.

"What were you thinking!" Rose screeched once Alex had returned to her school bag. Alex simply shrugged and picked her stuff up.

"You're such an outcast." Tori claimed, flinging her hair over her shoulder.

"Um. You are different." Danni said. Danni was different. She was shy and was actually really nice to Alex. When the other two girl were around she would only be mean to please them. Alex felt bad for Danni. She shouldn't have to feel like she has to prove herself to anyone.

"Paws!" someone shouted from behind the girls. They all turned around and saw a guy with pale skin and light pink hair that was styled kinda messy but put together at the same time. It was Michael Clifford. He was one of the most popular guys in school. Yeah he had pierced ears and a pierced eyebrow. and tattoos. He was as emo as he could be and still be popular. And lets just say, Alex though he was HOT.

Michael stopped in front of Alex and bent down picking up the tabby cat. The cat began to lip and paw at the smiling boy.

"Thanks for rescuing Paws! I was freaking out when I realised he was gone!" The boy said an smiled at Alex. Alex smiled back and nodded.

"It was nothing! Really!" She said blushing slightly. Rose and Tori pouted. They were annoyed that Michael wasn't paying more attention to them.

"Oh don't be so modest! You had to climb a tree! That's a lot in my book!" He grinned.

"Well. I guess that's true." Alex said and smiled looking down, "well I better get going. I promised my friend I'd be at her house..." Alex looked down at her watch an her eyes widened, "5 minuets ago! Bye! See you at school!" And with that she turned and began running down the side walk. She saw her friend sitting on her driveway looking down at her phone.

"Hi Madi!" Alex gasped out. She was out of breath and Madi gave her an odd look. Alex tried acting out what had occurred due to being too out of breath to speak. Madi just smiled and rolled her eyes.

"I don' care what happened. Let's just get to school!" She said enthusiastically. Alex smiled and began walking to school with Madi. She kept thinking about how happy Michael was when he saw Paws. It was cute. She'd never really seen him that excited over anything. Not even sports or cars! The other guys practically shit themselves with excitement when a topic about a new car or game was announced. Madi looked at her friend.

"You okay? You look like an in love drunk!" She said. Alex blushed.

"Oh no no! I'm fine'" Alex smiled and tried to sound as positive as possible. Madi raised an eyebrow at Alex.

"Promise?" She said and stuck her hand out.

"Nope!" And with that Alex sped up her walk and finally the two friends reached the school.
