"Ever since the great turf war Inklings have lived peacefully in Inkopolis, playing turf war and ranked battles to gain popularity and friends, or studying to help make Inkopolis an even greater city. Recently however, more and more Inklings have been going missing, especially those at a young age. they're usually gone without a trace, leaving some to believe that they're leaving voluntarily. but no one knows for sure."

I took notes as our teacher talked. I wasn't about to fail another test! especially since finals were coming up. I gulped and scribbled in my notebook a little harder.

"thats why I want you all to be safe this summer, don't stay out to late and always be aware of your surroundings. But also dont be late for the Final testing next week! remember! junior year is your most important period of highschool so make it count."

he looked over to me. I nervously looked down into my notebook to hide my face.

"especially you Pink, you have so much potential. but staying up all night and playing video games isn't helping."

My eyes widened and I blushed. Is he a stalker?! just then the bell rang. everyone, including me, stood up and raced to the door.

"Don't forget to study!"

He yelled out before we left. I ran out with extra haste.

"finally, I just want this day to be over.."

I said as I walked down the hall. I huffed and smiled. Maybe after the tests I'll finally be able to relax, or at least make some real life friends. All of my friends live on the internet like me, but are actually miles away from where I live, and time zones don't help. suddenly everyone in the hall froze. I stopped along with them, looking around to see what the hold up was. everyone gasped and moved out the way.

"Oh.."
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. From across the hall a team of Inklings came walking down. not just any team, they were rumored to be one of the best teams in Inkopolis!! the leader, Melody, had light green tentacles and wore round glasses. Blue, supposedly the second best, had dark blue tentacles and wore retro glasses. Green (the worst) had green tentacles and wore studio headphones. Aside from that they were all wearing their school uniforms. Even though they were popular turf war champions, they still went to school. Although the only one who was actually studious was Melody. However, there was someone missing..

"Did you here damian was moving away?"
"Really, wow! Who do you think is gonna replace him."

I heard people whisper behind me.
Whatever. I kinda did want to know exactly what they were planning to do now that a key member is moving away. But I didn't care THAT much, I didn't even play turf wars regularly, for now I just wanted to get home.. I shoved between the inklings and towards the exit. Right when I was at the door someone grabbed my arm and pulled me back in.

"Hey!!"

I shouted as I was dragged.

"Give me my arm back!"

I pulled away and looked up to see who it was. Melon smiled and put her hands on her hips.

"Where do you think you're going??"

"I'm going home!! Where else?!"

She wasn't exactly my friend. She only talked to me when she needed help, money, or homework. Most of the time I honestly don't know what's going through her head. She continued to grin at me with her orange eyes narrowed.

"Well?! What do you want??"

"Let's go play turf war!! C'mon you haven't played since forever!!"

She bounced up and down excitedly.

"Calm down! I don't want to, I just wanna go-"

"If we win ill pay back all the money I owe you after the match!!"

....

"You're on.."
