I stood there, deep In thought, and watched her out of the corner of my eye. The wind blowing her hair so carelessly across her face. The wind sent the smell of vanilla and paint towards me. I welcomed the scent having become familair and accustomed to it.

If you haven't already noticed the girl, standing  dangerously close to the edge of the cliff, is none other then Rose. Rose my best frined since age 3 had left a note in my locker earlier asking to meet at our spot. "Our spot" was at the top of a cliff just off the road that lead outside this small town called Ravensview Piont.

As if the name isnt obvious enough its right smack in the middle of nowhere. As if it wasnt enough the weather was bipolar. One day its sunny the clouds are out the birds are singing you get my point. Then the next day it rains till it floods. The people here arent exactly the friendly cozy ones you would expect. Everyone knew a few old faces and intended to keep it that way. I learned that the hard way. Anyways, back to our spot, we would always pretend that we were walking away from our lives here and heading into an unknown place for adventures.

Though somewhere along those lines i fell hard and painful might i add for Rosey. Though she was to busy causing trouble to notice me. Its not like im bad looking, in fact I'd like to think I'm pretty hot. I'm the school Jock I play football and basketball plus I even get good grades just to be the total package. The occasional c or d when  I felt to down to care.  Yet no matter my efforts she never saw me that way. Not that I'll ever stop trying because no matter how corny it might sound I wanted no one else by my side through everything.

God I'm such a wuss what am I even saying. Back to right now, I'm cold and tired, yet I stared at the girl like the wind as she's well known as.

One look and you knew she seemed right at home. They spoke a secret language, her and the wind, as if it called to her. I shuffled from one foot to the other nervously as she looked over at me where I stood undurneth the oak tree.

I blushed a light crimson pink shifting me gaze to the ground.  "I-I I'm not sure why you asked me to meet you Rose."

Suddenly an eerie silence began and all you could hear was the sudden blows of the wind. I didn't realize it untill now. I felt the force as it all came down on me. Daring me to ask the inevitable. Why she was so secretive. Why there were noticible bags under her eyes. The note in my locker. The look on her face of mixed emotions, worry and the pressure to stay cool, covered her face. It dawned on me like a tornado when  the storm hits. I clenched and unclenched my fist as my jaw tightened and I asked the question that would either send someone to the hospital or send me to hug my lady in waiting as I like to tease her.  "Are you okay? Did something happen?" She froze for the slightest second I saw it plain as day. For a stranger it would have gone unnoticed but since I am her best friend I saw. She smiled a genuine smile might I add. "Of course not. I'm fine. Thanks Dy," she said.

I looked at her feeling pained and more importantly angered. Please don't lie to me Rosey anything but that: go out with someone, tell me to go away, say you hate me. I looked down trying to hide the hurt in my eyes. Nothing hurts more than this.

♕Rose♕

"Are you okay? Did something happen?" I froze for the slightest second I stood as the memories came back and I fought the urge to cry to tell him and run to hug him as my worries went away. I shook them away and gave him a genuine small. Glad that his persistent need for me to learn to lie to avoid trouble paid of for once. "Of course not. I'm fine. Thanks Dy," I said. I saw as hurt flashed in his eyes and I felt a small pang for hurting my best friend. I felt so mad at never saying anything right when  he needed me to.
