Hey guys! So today instead of doing a deep poem, we are going to do a bit of an exercise, or meditation with a very relaxing song called somewhere only we know by Lily Allen. It's a really calming song and today is PONDAY which is the relaxing days so let's just start!
Here are the lyrics (they will be a guideline)
I walked across, an empty land 1
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand 2
I felt the earth, beneath me feet 3
Sat by the river and it made me complete 4
Oh simple thing, where have you gone? 5
I'm getting tired and I need someone to rely on.... 6
I came across, a fallen tree; 7
I felt the branches of it looking at me 8
Is this the place, we use to love? 9
Is this the place thst I've been dreaming of? 10
Oh simple thing, where have you gone? 11
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on 12
And if you have a minute why don't we go 13
Talk about it somewhere only we know 14
Cuz this could be the end of everything 15
So why don't we go, somewhere only we know? 16
Somewhere only we know? 17
Instrumental 18
Oh simple thing, where have you gone? 19
I'm getting old and I need someone to rely on 20
So tell me when 21
Your gonna let me in 22
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin 23
And if you have a minute why don't we go 24
Talk about it somewhere only we know 25
Cuz this could be the end of everything 26
So why don't we go? 27
Somewhere only we know 28
Somewhere only we know 29

Ok so those numbers are going to act as a guideline of what your going to do on each line. This is going to be a full body relaxation method. So here is step by step what you do for the relaxation during the song. Read all step by step before starting
Before starting: Go to your room or any room with a bed. If your already laying in bed, stand up and walk around or go to the washroom just whatever to get thst amazing feeling when you get on the bed again.
Step one: start the music and lay back with your arms spread out and eyes closed. Take deep slow breaths until line 5
Step two: when line 5 starts, start clenching ans tensing your body. Let your chest rise as you take a deep long breath and hold it in whole clenching tightly till line 7
Step three: when line 7 comes, exhale and slowly let loose and calm your arms and legs. Just stay and breath in like the first step till line 11.
Step four: this is the time to Crack your knuckles or fingers or toes. Move your legs around and your arms till there's no or little tension and it feels very loose when just still. This whole process should take till the instrumental.
Step five: once the instrumental is done, move your chest up so your neck can breath. Open your eyes and breath as you regularly would while placing your hands on your stomach. Once your hands are on your belly, breath in slow and deep 3 times and exhale smoothly, then just quietly mouth the words to the song while staying completely still
To easily interpret this and memorize this exercise:
1. Arms spread out, eyes closed, deep breaths
2. Oh simple thing where have you gone? -tense up body tightly, deep breaths
3. I came across, a fallen tree- exhale and loosen up.
4. Oh simple thing where have you gone?- Crack toes, fingers, knuckles. Move arms and legs till tension free
5. Oh simple thing, where have you gone?- let neck breath, open eyes, place hands on stomach and breath deep 3 times. Then mouth or breath regularly till end of song.
Once you put it in song form, it's much easier to remember and do.
Hope this was relaxing and you enjoyed it. If you did, let me know if you want more of these!
Ok well happy PONDAY BYEEEEE
