chapter three: four letter words?

*two hours after last chapter*
Lily: Ashton
Ashton: yes Lilian?
Lily: call me Lily, but I'm getting tired are you gonna sleep or what?
Ashton: no stay up with me
Lily: but I'm exhausted.
Ashton: I'll keep you awake
Lily: hah and how do you plan on doing that?
Ashton: play a game with me
Lily: I'm not playing a game
Ashton: what why not
Lily: I'm not a child Ashton
Ashton: it's not childish. play a game with me please
Lily: fine. how do you play
Ashton: uhh name as many four letter words as you can
Lily: that's dumb goodnight
Ashton: Lily please
Lily: I'm really tired
Ashton: what's your number I don't have wifi
Lilian: *insert phone number here*
no answer. i didn't get a text either. i put my phone under my pillow and laid my head down. it only took a few seconds before my phone started vibrating. i grabbed my phone and a random number went across the screen. shit.
i clicked the green answer button and waited for the person on the other line to say something.
"Lilian?"
"yes. who is this?"
i knew it was Ashton but i was tired i wasn't thinking right.
"it's Ashton."
"are you crazy? it's 3 am!"
"but Lily-"
"goodnight Ashton."
"no no no Lily stay on"
"Ashton my eyes are literally about to close right now"
"play the game. please?"
"oh my god okay."
"okay you start"
"uh chat"
"suck"
"ew.. fell"
"dick"
"you're a pervert I'm done"
"Lily wait"
"what is it ashton?"
"stay up please"
"I'll stay up for 5 more minutes."
"okay... uhm my word is sick"
"ball"
"sock"
"hurt"
"yell"
"song"
"sing"
my eyes slowly closed, and i couldn't stop them. i tried opening them but i couldn't stay awake and i knew it.
"lily? are you awake?"
i was a tad bit awake but I wanted to hear what he'd say when he thought i was asleep.
"ugh, Lily? are you asleep?"
i didn't say anything.
"okay well goodnight Lilian. I'll talk to you tomorrow. i- nevermind. see you- uh- talk to you tomorrow. bye"
i ended the call.
