Sabrina's POV
It was raining. Period. Bored out of my skull and hanging around in my room, laying on the fluffy carpet and staring at the ceiling.
I was waiting for Sam, she and I had been friends since seventh grade and now we shared a dorm at quite a weird boarding school. Sam (Samantha) was at a staff meeting. I know weird, a student in a staff meeting! But she was there to represent all students along with her colleague Daryl. Sam has always been a good student, the kind that all teachers love and want her as a representative, she goes to the staff meeting for extra marks, but also to see Daryl.
'I hope one day Sam can confront Daryl and tell him her feelings...' I thought, but what went through my head was quite rudely disturbed.
KNOCK KNOCK! From the outside I heard a voice. Realizing who the voice belonged to I ignored it.
KNOCK KNOCK!
"C'mon 'Brina, open the door!"
KNOCK KNOCK!
KNOCK KNOCK! KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNO-
I flung the door open. "WHAT DO YOU WANT, AARON!"
"Just to tell you that the Beginning of School Dance is coming up and I thought that maybe-"
"Look, Aaron, I've known you for practically my whole life, but that's not going to change the fact that I don't like you and never will, you're an amazing friend, great and funny, but you're only a friend to me, nothing else."
Aaron, a boy I know since my infancy has been the best friend anyone could have, but when we entered grade nine last year and he developed a crush on me, he's been a pain in the neck, and he still hasn't changed since we entered grade ten.
His dark green eyes stare at me as he runs his hand through his black shaggy hair like he did when we were little when he tried to impress my friend Alisha. He smiled a smile that made every girl fall for him and start kissing his hands and feet, but he knew that didn't work on me, he just did it as an attempted.. "See you later then," were his final words before leaving.
The rain stopped and I walked out to the campus. New students gathered around, mostly grade nines, eights, and sevens, but there were a couple from higher grades. Sam, stood with Daryl under an umbrella directing the younger students to their dorms, handing out schedules, and signing in kids.
"Samantha!" I called.
"'Brina, you're late!" Sam snapped.
"Sorry, I just got caught up with something! Don't Kill me!"
"'Brina I'm serious. There's so many kids this year, please hand these out to that line of eighth graders." Sam shoved a stack of papers in my hands and pushed me towards the line.
I headed over to the line, looking occasionally back at Sam to see if she was watching me closely. Not to my surprise she was glaring at me with both of those dark brown eyes she had, while her black hair slightly covered her face because of the breeze.
'She takes this too seriously-'
Suddenly I saw the papers flying into the air and I stumbled back. In front of me, a boy with brown hair and bright green eyes stared at the papers flying above, I snatched them up from the air.
"Watch where you're going!" I snapped at him, I looked at his face and recognized him at once.
"Me?! You weren't even looking in front of you, you weren't even paying attention to where you were going!" He ranted.
My blood seemed to boil, memories of my heart being broken and the feeling of stupidity for liking that boy when I was younger were all compacted together and twisted into hatred. At that moment I wanted to remind him of all the pain I went through and what he had done to me, we went face to face in anger for our rude comments, but as I glared into his eyes, I could see he didn't know me, he didn't recognize me, which made him vulnerable.
My glare dropped just as Sam ran over to him and I.
