Boredom

(A/N: The first few chapters are really rushed. But the actual plot gets going at chapter 4. I was kind of a lazy writer back then, but I've made major improvements.)

It was a mediocre, cloudy evening. Everything was completely normal at the Unovan Pokemon League. The Elite Four listened to Iris's babbling, while the most recent champion, Rosa Gurē, simply slouched over the meeting table, closing her eyes from the boredom that overtook her.

"Hey, Champ, wake up." Iris snapped her fingers in front of her face, making her bolt upright and shake her head.

Rosa sighed heavily, wiping her forehead with her sleeve. "Sorry guys, I'm just really, really  bored." She smiled.

"Well then why the fuck did you arrive at this meeting?" Grimsley rudely responded, earning a light smack on the shoulder from Shauntal.

"Language, Grimsley." She scolded him, and he only huffed out something of an apology.

Iris sighed. "I think we've all kind of had a rough day. Maybe we should cut this meeting short?" She proposed, standing up and straightening her pink gown. The rest of the Elites agreed and all stood up and left, Rosa being the last one out.

Slowly, she got up from her chair, which was warm from her sitting on it for two hours. Despite her rotten mood, she still walked with the skip in her step, yet making sure not to trip on any loose tiles on the beige floor.

Why is it so windy?  The young champion thought as she held her visor cap in place. For a few seconds, she fluttered her eyes shut, and took some time to enjoy the feeling of the wind weaving through her brown locks. And soon as she realized that everbody has left, she looked down the steep fleet of stairs. It was foggy and grey near the bottom, and she couldn't see where they went. Probably back to their rooms, she guessed.

Reaching inside her pink bag, she took out a cyan Pokeball with a yellow X design. Pressing the button in the center, the ball opened and her Swanna materialized in front of her.

"Okay Grace, let's go back home to Aspertia. I'm tired." She commanded her Pokemon. Grace nodded her small head and turned around, and spread her white wings.

Gently, Rosa positoned her small frame on the delicate Pokemon's back. "You ready?" She asked, and Grace let out a cry of reassurance.

The Swanna took off into the navy sky, and Rosa watched the sun slowly go down, as the orange hue in the sky was dyed with indigo.

What am I going to do? Hugh's away with family,  I'm not strong enough to take on the League again, and I'm not in the mood to enter the Tournament again. Uh, today was not my day at all.
