"Kaori! Hurry up, were going to be late...ON THE FIRST DAY! You know how I hate being late, come on!" Kousei Arima ran down the hallway with an armful of sheet music... His and Kaori's. Along with her violin.
Kaori Miyazono, a bright young girl at the age of 16 years old ran behind him, stopping frequently to take pictures of anything and everything she could possibly capture on camera.
They had both been accepted into Tokyo School of Music as a duet pair. Yeah, this was an amazing opportunity but going to the prestigious school meant moving across the country.
Last year they had worked extra hard entering and winning competitions to earn money. They even made it to nationals for their age group coming in second place. They had earned enough money to go to school for this year and unless they got a scholarship for next year, it looks like they would be working all summer once again.
They didn't mind it of course , music speaks to them. Ya know how some people say music is like their second language? Well forget that, for Kaori and Kousei, music was their first language.
Kousei played piano and was known for playing the music exactly how it was written on the page. He was slowly beginning to get better, making the music his own.. That is, with the help of Kaori of course.
Kaori plays violin and when she plays it, she owns it. Kaori wasn't one to hold back, especially when she played. Kaori was the opposite of a machine, or Kousei for that matter. She was free spirited and unpredictable.
Kousei and Kaori were opposites, the perfect team and a beautiful one when it came to music.
