I turn back to the clock.

I gather my belongings and start packing up so I can go for the weekend.
Then of course I hear "Ms Smith. My office please."

I let out a small sigh as I walked to his office. I walked in and waited for him to speak.
"What are you doing this weekend Ms Smith?"
"Out of town. Family reasons."
"Oh.. Well what about next weekend?"
"I'll see what I'm doing next weekend when it comes up 😊"
"Okay Ms smith have a wonderful weekend."
I lied through my teeth. He was gonna invite me to some dinner that I think he should pass on himself. My boss is in his forties and his gut hangs over his stomach and I'm sure he can't see his toes while he's standing.
I walked out of his office and grabbed my things and headed to my matte black dodge charger. I turned my phone on and instantly got texts from my best friend.
