Finally, no more studying, no more stressing, no more panicking.
A wave of cheer and laughter is flooded into my ears, immediately after the ring of the final bell.
Grace 12 is finally over.
All I can say is, what a freaking relief.
Hi. My name is Brooke.
There's not too much to say about me to be completely honest.
I'm weird sometimes, I'm awkward, I'm silly.
I have an annoying best friend named Cassidy, who I love to death, despite her odd decisions and obsessions.
I have no siblings, and I live with my Mom and rude step-dad.
I am average looking. Blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and I'm around 5'5".
I have a decent amount of friends and I'm pretty smart. My life isn't that exciting.
"Come on let's go!" My best friend snaps me out of my thoughts.
I look at her a laugh, as she grabs my arm and proceeds to drag me out of the school hallway. As we get out of the school we walk over to her car and get in.
"Can we go to your place?" I ask. "My step-dad is going to be home so I don't really want to go to my house right now." I explain.
"Sure sounds good!" She says happily.
When we arrive at her house, we walk through the door, and as usual, go to her bedroom and lay down on her bed, and pull out our iPhones.
"So how's Brady?" I ask her, while we both stare at our screens.
Brady is her boyfriend who she is very attached to.
"He's good." She simply states. Usually she would rant on about him, so this answer was very odd. "Is there something wrong?" I ask her. She looks up from her phone. "No.. its just.. I think he's cheating on me." She states, sounding upset now.
"What?! Why would you think that?" I ask very confused. She looks down again. "Whenever I text him he is always busy, and when we hang out he is always smiling while texting. And when I ask him who he's texting.. He says nobody." She explains.
"Oh." I say not knowing what to tell her.
"Maybe you're overthinking things.." I finally tell her, trying to reassure her.
We sit in silence for the rest of the time.
"Okay well I'm gonna go home now. Text me tomorrow and we can go do something."
"Alright see ya tomorrow." She says not looking up from her phone, still sounding upset from earlier. Although she was probably still doing what she always does, stalking the boy-band with the name of One Direction.
I don't really see why all these girls cry and faint over them and say they are their comfort, inspiration and idols.
I don't even know any of their names.
Don't get me wrong, I think they're very talented, but they're still just normal guys. Nothing that special.
