Once, a long, long time ago, humans roamed a planet called Earth. And on this planet, another race existed amongst them all. They looked the same as humans, but had the ears and tails of wolves. We called ourselves the same as wolves, but the humans branded us as demons.

Tensions were rising between humans and us wolves. The humans in power wished to domesticate us. Our government wished us the same freedom as them. Eventually, an agreement was made. The humans gave us what they said was half the world. As long as no wolves trespassed on human property, all would be safe.

Many years later, a young wolf strayed too far into human territory. He was mistaken for what they consider a wolf and killed for sport.

Outrage sparked from both sides. Wolves began crossing the border in protest. Wolves began to die. Our leader stood at the border to discuss the issue peacefully with the leaders of the world. He was shot by a group of racists. He lived, and decided that enough was enough.

War was declared. Humans began to understand what they were dealing with. We slaughtered them mercilessly. For the first time in years, we were winning.

Until they deployed the Knightmares. They were machines built specifically to destroy us. And they were working.

In the midst of all of this, a young wolf watched as his friends and family died one by one. He began to feel different about the world. Not negatively, he just felt indifferent. Before he knew it, his hair, ears and tail had gone completely white.

The next thing everyone knew, there were no sign of any humans or Knightmares. The black haze that was once above them was now an orange sunset. The fight was over, but no one knew what happened.

The wolf with white hair spoke. "I have saved you all. You will no longer live in fear of humans. In return, I ask that the first wolf born in pure white be the one who makes peace with the humans in the future."

The white wolf turned to leave, assuring his people that no danger would arise once he left.

"...And that, dear Skye, is why your sister is so, so important."

A wolf with black hair stared at the newborn wolf with pure white hair.

"Mom...she's not going to survive the day." She tells her. "Her vitals..."

"She will." The older wolf replied, holding her child in her arms. "Because...she is our Savior."
