A Mermaids Love

Serena's Pov (10:00 pm)
I was swimming with my pod (that's a group of mermaids) when humans came after us for our scales. It usually doesn't happen until daylight first appears in the sky. I saw a boy in a cage and the other men are getting ready to throw him in the ocean, I noticed that the men didn't even put a chain on the cage. And me and my pod looked at the boy who was in the cage with sympathy and sorrow. One of the my friends said, "we have to help him get out of the cage." I turned and saw my shyest friend Sevreina looking at the boy with compassion and sadness. I'm really surprised that she spoke up. And when I looked around so was everyone else.

Jaru's Pov (10:16 pm)
I had been sold to these men and beaten by them. Then they threw me into a cage and one of them said, "good riddance that he's going to drown and his family are dead."

Serena's Pov
I heard everything that they said, and I was furious who would do something like this I went under water and told them what I heard they were furious. But what shocked me the most was my best friend face it was passed furious she was enraged. And then we saw the cage fall into the water and we pounded on the cage but it was no use and they saw a boy badly damaged and unconscious. "We need to wake him up."

Jaru's Pov
I heard pounding on the cage and I started to move and I heard the pounding stop but I kept moving I then opened my eyes and I saw mermaids all around me I swam towards the cage door and handed them the key to the cage.

Serena's Pov
I saw him swimming over and I felt a key was placed in my hand. I realized that it was the cage key. I turned it and it unlocked then Sevreina swam up to him and took him out of the cage and up to get fresh air I saw him blush at her touch and she was blushing too. I really need to get answers from her.
