"Well ok."
"I'll email you the time and location, and once he sends the script I'll forward it to you too."
"Thank you, Geoff." I said he mutters a welcome and hangs up.
I turn to the boys and I tell them the great news.
"That's great! Thank you, Rich." Danny stands up and hugs me, he spins me around and I end up screaming and laughing. He puts me down and I was a panting mess.
"But we still need day jobs." Liam butts in.
Danny loses the happy moment and slumps his shoulders. I pat his back and mutter an it's alright phrase.
This raveled on for a week and half, them looking for jobs and me going to some casting calls, meetings and the lot.
That night Eddie and I were just watching the shows on the Telly when Danny bursts in.
"Guys, I got a job. It's not a huge job but it pays good." I jolt up and hugged him.
"That's great, what is it?" I asked excitedly.
"The owner of the coffee shop asked me if I could sing, I have my own slot in cafe. I get to play my music..!" Danny rambles on.
"That's great!" Edward said.
"You have to watch me tonight." Danny invites.
"Yeah sure! We'll be there!" I said, excited as well.
I hang my coat up and we got settled in a nice seat near the stage. Danny goes up, the spotlight catching up to him. He casually fixes his clothes, straightening them out. He grabs the guitar, sits on the chair, adjusts the mic stand and he started playing.
Take me as you are
Push me off the road
The sadness I need this time to be with you...
To be is all I got to be
And all that I see
And all that I need is time
To me the life you gave me
The day you said goodnight
His sweet angelic voice resonated through the whole cafe as people stopped what they were doing to look at the source of the voice. All eyes were on him as he sang his heart out on stage. He then turns to look at me from the stage, his eyes meeting mine. My heart stops. I muster up a small smile, he smiles back, butterflies filled my belly. I looked up at him and his angelic features.
I sip a bit of my coffee and turned to look at Edward, who suddenly averts my gaze.
Strange.
He gets up and excuses himself. He disappears into the crowd. Liam was silently reading a book, listening to Danny as well.
The people applauded as Danny ended his set. He goes straight to our table.
"You were amazing, Danny!" I cheered and hugged him.
"Thank you!" He smiles.
What's happening to me? Why am I feeling like this. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it was different. It wasn't painful. There was this burning sensation in my chest. I couldn't help but feel like this every time I'm around them.
We left the cafe after a while and we headed straight to the apartment. Danny was still hyped about what happened. He got a big amount of tips
We bid each other goodnight as we entered the apartments. I head straight to my room after telling Eddie goodnight.
We were sat on concrete bleachers. Leaves scattered on the landscape, tall trees surrounded us. It was perfect. The sunlight seeping through the gaps between the leaves of the tree. Wind making the branches dance. It was serene and blissful.
Then he held my hand. His soft hand wrapping around mine, intertwining our fingers together. My heart was clenching at the burning sensation. He looked at me and smiled that smile. I look up at him and couldn't help but grin. He held my hand tighter and he pulled me closer. His eyes boring into mine, I was afraid I'd cry. He held me closer, his body engulfing mine. I was safe. I felt safe. This was different, something I've never felt before. The breeze was blowing past us. I look up at him again taking in his features...
"I love you." I said, the words leaving my mouth unconsciously.
I jolt up, releasing myself from the dream. I was panting, trying to catch my breath.
Shit....
