Edward turns to me and says "I'll clean up, go prepare for bed." He tells me one more time and I do as told.

"Thanks, Edward." I say before entering my room.

"It's nothing," he brushes off. "And call me Eddie." He smiles. I close my door I collapse on my bed and lights out.

I was in a dreamless sleep when i was woken up. I open my eyes. Blue, it was blue like the sky, well, they not it. I was staring right into Edward's eyes. Even in the dark its color shone bright.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" He said a bit worried.

"No, no you didn't. What's wrong?"

"I can't sleep." He scratches the back of his head, averting my gaze. I sat up and offered him to sit on the bedside.

"Wanna sleep here?" I asked.

"Well, I don't wanna be such a disturbance." He says.

"You're fidgety, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Well, I'm adjusting to the new room, what the hell in a whole new universe out here." He was certainly uneasy.

I had him move beside me, our backs resting on the headboard.

"I know it's a struggle, and clearly I'm too young to be telling you this, but..." I didn't know what to say. I know what I felt but I didn't know how to say it. Then it hit me. "I'll just show you." I tell him.

I grab his hand and lead him out to the balcony. I kept a ladder by the wall and I lead him up the roof.

"You can't tell anyone about this, ok?" I said as I climbed up the steel roof. Once I got to the peak of it I heaved myself up and sat down, he did the same and when he looked at what I was meaning to show him his jaw dropped.

"This is amazing." His eyes were twinkling. He looked out on the view. The vastness of New York was visible in our position. Lights filled the entire city. The first time I saw this I knew I was ok. I mean I went to New York for a reason and this was the reason. I look out to the lights and I know I'm here to reach my dreams, that someday one of those lights will be mine.

And...

I forgot it was freezing out here. I suddenly felt the cold seeping through the thin material that made up my Pj's. I started rubbing my hand up and down my arms. Out of nowhere an arm wraps itself around my waist and he pulls me closer.

"I don't wanna go yet. So I need to keep you warm." He said pulling me closer to him. His body heat engulfing me in. I felt comfortable. It was weird but comfy.

After a while he turns to me. "Thank you." He mumbles, and after he gave a weak smile, just a little perk up at the edge of his lips.

"You have to be brave." I said placing my hand on his knee. "Goodness knows that's what I did." He chuckles, and I was all warm inside again.

"Let's go inside, I don't want you catching a cold." He says as he escorted me back down.

Once we were back in we separated ways and muttered goodnight to each other.
