In comments, say who are the brothers of this chapter (above)

[ Eric's POV ]

This was it. This was the day. My day. I had finally made it to highschool. The place where many children say is freedom land. Some said that highschool came with many surprises and revelations. Well I couldn't wait to witness mine.

I was sitting in the backseat of my dad's car. Cole, my older brother who was in 12th grade, was sitting in the front passenger seat. Cole and I used to be close. We had a tight bond before, but it seemed to disappear when he started attending school here at Grahams High in Birmingham city.

The only time I ever spend with him now is on Saturday afternoons playing video games with him. There must of been something that changed him in school.

"Are you ready for your first day of highschool Eric?" my dad asked me driving into the school's parking lot.

"Yeah dad," I replied trying to hide my excitement.

[ Cole's POV ]

Finally. After 4 years of pain and suffering... my schooling had come to an end. High school to be exact. I couldn't really say my schooling had come to an end when I knew very well that I had university or college just up ahead. Awww... math's a bitch and life's a drag.

But damn it! Why couldn't Eric have been just a year younger? Cause now I had to finish highschool with a little brother to look out for. Studies, fun, sports and babysitting? That is NOT how I had planned to spend my final year.

I had my eyes closed as I was listening to music using earphones connected to my cellphone. The car finally stopped. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw that we were in the school's parking lot, parked.

"Time to go son, for you it's the beginning of the end," my dad said to me, "Make me proud, do well academically and look out for Eric."

I simply nodded stepping out of the car. Eric and I stood outside the car. We said our goodbyes to dad and off he went to work. As soon as dad was out of sight, we starting walking with me in the lead

"Okay, now look, here's how it's gonna go down, I have to get to the staffroom cause I've got a a ceremony to attend to in the school hall, so I need you to stay put. Sit on this stone right here, don't say, do anything that could attract people," I spoke, giving Eric the clearest of instructions.

Alright, call me a bad brother, but what am I supposed to do? I've got my own life to live too you know!

[ Eric's POV ]

Sit on a stone? Seriously? Cole had absolutely no intentions of looking after me. All of the sudden the bell. I had no idea what the bell was ringing for.

The school pupils started walking towards one direction, so I followed them to wherever they were going. I ended up in the school hall, still confused as to what was going on. The pupils sat on chairs, so I looked for an empty seat. I spotted one at the front left corner of the hall. I went off and sat there.

The hall had a stage, and on that stage stood a black man who looked to be about 52 years old. The whole hall went silent and everyone stood up.

"Good morning Mr James" everyone said greeting the man.

"Sit down," the man rather rudely replied.

Everyone took their seats. A girl came and sat on the open seat that had been next to me. Damn! She was a beauty.

"Hey," the girl whispered to me, "Are you new here?"

"Uh... I am... uh... yeah, I'm new," I somehow finished a sentence looking into those chocolate brown eyes of hers.
"I am simply fed up," the man began, "I have got not single clue, on what will it take for you children to earn the respect of your teachers, respect of the staff members in the office and my respect."
