Our footsteps echo across the vass gigantic room ; everywhere people are either staring at computer screens or rushing around with towering stacks of papers.
In front of is a large room with walls made of tempered glass. Inside are 5 humans,each with brown chestnut hair and innocent green eyes seeing their way into my soul.
I read the card placed next to them
Laceyes

Laceyes are normal humans with only but one difference. When faced with negative emotions such as anger,stress,fear or sadness the human will then turn into a Laceyes. The only way to differentiate a Laceyes from a human is by the eyes. Although when a Laceyes is human it will still have lilac eyes when in Laceyes form .When in human form they will have the normal assortment of brown,green or blue. Humans that have previously been Laceyes will be able to remember what happened during their time as a Laceye.
CAUTION: IF-
"Come on Lila," Rose complains as she pulls me away towards my parents,where dad starts talking for what seems like hours.
"These are Laceyes and they can bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla." Pretty much what I just read on the card.
"Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla-"
"AAAAHHHHH!" a piercing shriek comes from behind me.
I turn round.
A tall lady with sort brown hair and big black glasses stands there "Dave, you've forgotten to inject the Laceyes! "
"Oh Jean jollies," dad mutters to himself,his face gone pale as if he had just seen a ghost.
The next thing I know he's running.
First to the lady where they exchange a few words I cannot understand,then to a cupboard where he presses a button marked "G" and takes a box of syringes containing mysterious pale blue liquid.
The purpose of the G button starts to show; a bright orange gas starts to flood the room.
Dad rushes inside syringe ready in hand.
Once the gas has cleared, I finally understand what he's doing.
Injecting the Laceyes one by one.
"The gas must've put them to sleep" I think
One second he's injecting a Laceye.
The next he's fighting it.
"Natalie, I forgot the cloak!" Dad shouts in between desperate punches and kicks
It was now mom's turn to look petrified.
"Hurry up, you idiot , find the cloak," Rose demanded
"What the-? Why-? How-? Where's-? "
"JUST FIND IT! IT'S SILVER WITH GOLD STARS - YOU CAN'T MISS IT!"
"What-? How-? Huh?"
Wait . Stop. There. Right there not too far away, was a cloak, silver with gold stars just as Rose had described it.
Before I knew what I was doing I had grabbed the cloak and was already running towards the glass room.
"Lila!" my mother shouted
She started chasing me. As fast as a firebolt she had grabbed the cloak from my hand and had taken off towards my father.
And all I did was stand. I just stood there watching my mother and father fight Laceyes. I just stood there watching them die before my very eyes. I just stood there.
Until they came after me.
