Finding HalfBlood

Damien

Ever since I was born I knew that someday I will do something to save my family. When I was little I remember trying to act strong whenever I was hurt but ended up crying anyways. My mom told me that I took after my father when it comes to my attitude. I don't know how she ever dealt with me. I always got in fights at school but she always understood me. I saw her with many other guys and I usually got mad at it. When I was three and she brought home Henry's dad I went to my room and cried until my mom came to talk to me. I saw her with other men after that. I hated it because they all decided to leave her. She didn't deserve this. Raising five kids all alone, my hatred for all of the men that left her couldn't be described by words. I helped raise Charlotte, or Charlie, and when I turned fourteen I started to work to help out my mother. I felt like I needed to because of everything she ever did to me. When I wasn't at work I took care of Charlie, making sure she was raised right. Now Charlie's six and I'm sixteen. If anyone ever hurt my family I would hurt them harder. I love my family and would do anything for them so when the Hellhounds attacked I didn't know what to do. I wanted to protect my family but my mom told me "Damien, take your siblings and run until you knew you're safe." She also told me that "there's a camp called Camp HalfBlood and you will all be safe there." "Why mom?" "It's because of your father. Please just go there and you will all be safe." So I woke up all my brothers and picked up my sister, who was still sleeping, and we ran into the woods. Before we knew it we were deep in the woods. Once I realized that mom was gone I broke down and cried. This woke Charlie up but I didn't realize it until she hugged me. "It's okay Damien." I didn't want to yell at her. She couldn't have known what was going on. She was only six years old. All the others started to cry and Charlie asked why but I didn't have the heart to tell her what happened. After a few minutes I got up from the forest ground. I knew that I was hurting inside but we needed to find this Camp HalfBlood. "GUYS! We need to find Camp HalfBlood. There we will be safe. It was mom's wish for us to find it and I plan to get all of us there."  Everything goes silent until Peter says "Where is Camp HalfBlood, Damien?" Damien sighs "I don't know but I will find it." Charlie falls back asleep "We should set up camp for the night." We all set up camp and go to sleep quickly.
