Roman talks about not being on the Indies but busting his ass on developmental
"For me, I didn't have an indie background, but at the same time, there's a lot of things I dealt with just even in developmental. A lot of guys are like this and don't get enough credit for it. Its rigorous, you guys are like this in that warehouse. I was hurt, banged up, nicked. I crushed that brachial nerve that runs down your neck. I've lost all the strength in my right side, had atrophy, but still wrestled. I think I missed one show, like the day it happened. People don't realized that there's is more than what you know. You can Wikipedia me, but I guarantee you there's a whole lot more than what you're reading, and that goes for every superstar. Everyone's been through hell to get where they are, and I'm not gonna let anybody talk down on what I done just cause I'm didn't do what Daniel Bryan or your other favorite wrestlers did.
