Since the war, a lot of citizens were left homeless. The bombs has killed many people and destroyed many houses. The war was so large, it was truly a world war. Most of the authority gave up, Most being dead anyhow.
The city had fallen into mostly ruins, with a few buildings still standing. The orphanage was one of them. A woman with kindness in her heart wanted children warm and safe at night. She tried to up-keep the place but failed. The beds were like rock and food was scarce. Cassie (she prefers the name Alta, a self given nickname) was young when the war happened so lived in the orphanage for most of her life. The horrible conditions had driven her to escape at the ripe age of 15.....
