Child's Play

Hello! This is my second story that I've written in wattpad, so I hope you all like it
This is a ship a friend and me created
By the way Toddy is the one with curly and brownish hair while Josh is the one with spiky hair, so with that cleared lets start!

It was a sunny day, there was a soft summer breeze and everything was calm. In a small park children played, their mothers keeping an eye out for the naughty ones...but one of them wasn't playing,
It was Toddy, a shy small kid with brown curly hair, he hugged his mother leg tightly afraid to let go
"Don't you want to go play with the other kids sweetie?" His mother asked sweetly as she stroked the little boy's hair
"N-No..." Toddy squeaked shyly as he shook his head and buried his face on his mother's sweater, barely glancing at the playground where all the other kids ran and screamed
"You can make new friends" his mother cooed softly, Toddy glancing upwards "N-New friends?" His mother giggled softly and nodded "Yes, look at that I think someone wants to meet you" Toddy glanced over and saw a kid with spiky hair approaching them

"Hey there! What's your name?" The spiked hair kid said cheerfuly smiling widely, small fangs showing on his little mouth

"Um..." Toddy blushed and fisted his mom's sweater, too shy to answer "C'mon sweetie, he wants to be your friend" his mother encouraged him as she stroked his hair "I-I-I'm Toddy.." he said shyly
"Hey Toddy! I'm Josh! Wanna go play?" Josh said cheerfuly as he pointed to the playground, Toddy looked at him and then at the games just to nod, Josh smiling even more at the answer quickly grabbing Toddy's hand and running off to the playground

"I didn't know 'Toddy' could be a girl's name!" Josh said surprised as he ran towards the swings, Toddy blushed a bit from anger at the comment "I-I'm not a..." but before he could correct Josh he was pushed on the swings

"I betcha I can make you go really high!" Josh said as he ran behind Toddy, placing his small hands on the kid's back "Ready?" Toddy quickly shook his head, because let's face it he was a scaredy puppy "Josh I don't want to..." he mumbled shyly as he gripped tightly at the swing's chains, Josh noticed this and got infront of Toddy

"I'll do it then! I'm tough!" Josh smiled widely as he took Toddy's hand and pulled him away from the swings just to sit there instead "You push me with all your strenght! Let's reach the moon!" Josh screamed, pointing up to the sky

Toddy smiled and nodded just to quickly get behind Josh and start pushing him, each time getting higher and higher, Toddy loosening up and laughing along with Josh

"W-Wait, Todds! too high!"

suddenly, Josh lost his grip on the chains and fell forward onto the floor, bruising his knee and cheek as he hit the hard concrete "Josh!" Toddy exclamed worried as he ran towards his friend who was sitting up, checking his small wounds

"I-I-I d-didn't mean to...I-I-I-I'm s-sorry!" Toddy started panicking as thoughts flooded his mind what if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore...? what if he hates me now..?

Josh laughed a bit "Don't sweat it Todds! this happens all the time!" then he took out some band-aids from his pocket and put them on his knee and cheek "See? Good as new" Toddy still looked down, fiddling with his thumbs

"Hey Todds, it's okay really, how about we try that aga..." from the distance someone called Josh "Maybe tomorrow! I gotta run, see ya!" with that Josh got up and kissed Toddy's cheek just to rush towards his brother

Toddy just stood there, blushing like a tomato, he gently placed his hand over the spot where Josh kissed him, butterflies erupting in his stomach as the tip of his curl formed into a heart (Hetalia reference anyone?) he quickly shook his head and rushed to his mother who had been calling him repeteadly

"Did you have fun sweetie?" His mother smiled lovingly at him as Toddy hugged her "Yup!" he replied cheerfully "Maybe we can come back another time" she gently took Toddy's hand as they started walking home "How about tomorrow?" Toddy asked hopefully, praying for a yes so he could have another chance to play with his new friend

"Oh sweetie, did you forget already? We are moving out tomorrow, maybe once we finish we can come back" Toddy's smile dissapeared a bit at this "Oh..um okay"

Another Time...

The next day Josh rushed to the park and started looking around for Toddy "Todds! Hey Todds!" the little kid went throught the whole playground, trying to find that mop of curly brown hair "Maybe he didn't get here yet, yea that's it! I'll just wait for her" and with that he went to a bench and sat down waiting for Toddy.

Waiting...

Juuuuuust Waiting...

.

Any minute now...

Josh waited and waited, most kids already leaving along with their parents, soon enough his brother arrived "Time to go kiddo, had fun?" he ruffled Josh's hair, the boy looking down and sighing "Hey, what's wrong?"

"I was just expecting someone Driver...but I guess she didn't remember..." Josh looked down and pouted a bit

Driver chuckled "Maybe she's sick or something, don't worry Josh, maybe you'll get to see your friend again another day"

Josh glanced over at the swings and smiled a bit

Another Day...
