Chapter Two

(Josh's POV)

I awoke to darkness, except for a glowing red symbol ahead of me, looking me right in the face. I approached it, and the red light exploded into a form of a beautiful cherry-haired girl with almost flame gold eyes. She smiled at me and approached me, reaching out for my hand. "My symbol is a plus, for crossroads and healing. It is red for fire, like my brother's plus. We are vampires, but the appropriate name for us is facpire, which is faction vampires." She rested her warm hand on my face. "Usually, we can conjure fire but you.. You and your bandmates.. You possess the potential to be neumpires, neutrals. Spirits of the elements are in this room."

"Am I dead?" I said, looking at her. I couldn't believe her words for a second. She was still holding my face , smiling then I saw the blood on her hand and I blacked out.

I woke up in a room where the light was dim, but sunlight streamed through the window. Then I saw her and she smiled at me. "You're awake. You are in the midst of a change of life, the change that we make. The blood was just your tears; your mind imagined it as blood. My name is Vie."

"Vie? Is that short for Vivianne? I think I know you.." I said and she approached me, a bright fire in her eyes.

"Life. You see me as Vivianne as it is what you see me as, " She smiled and laughed. She hadn't have been older than 17, at least. But in vampire world that could mean 17000 for all I know. I didn't want to ask.

Then I saw the mirror. It was startling to see my face after hours of blacking out, or so I thought. There was something.. different. My eyes had turned sky color, My blonde and blue hair looked more shiny, more natural. My skin color looked creamy white insted of blanched white. I looked younger in my complexion. Then I saw something, like a tattoo below my left eye, it was tiny but it was a plus sign. And it was silver.
