"Then what did you do, mom?" She asked me, sitting on my lap.

"Umm. I didn't run away and one day he got tired and then he finally apologised to me." She smiled while I pecked her forehead.

"So if I would stand up to myself and not crib about it then even he'll get tired and stop his behaviour. Okay mom. I'll go to school." She said.

"That's like my girl and don't worry next year, you'll surely join Shiv, Vani and Neena to Vision. We'll get you all prepped." I stroked her cheeks.

"Really mom!"

"Yes dear!" She clapped her hands and started going to her room.

"Rithanya?"

"Yes."

"Don't let Dad know about this or else you know what he'll do?" She nodded, understanding my words and proceeded towards her room.

Being a mother isn't easy always but did I do the right thing?
What if something goes wrong there?
I won't be there to protect my baby.

I was so apprehended in my own thoughts that I didn't even notice my dear husband entering, since I don't know how long he had been here and was constantly staring at me. As I realised his piercing gaze on me, I moved my head towards his direction.

"What?" I asked him as he was gawking lovingly at me with a smile playing on his lips.

He shook his head.

"When did you come?" I queried while he sat close to me taking my hand in his.

"When you were busy thinking about something?" He replied.

"Okay."

"What is it, love?" He asked me making an eye contact.

What should I do? Should I tell him or not. He loves us a lot but Rithanya. He's very protective about her.
Should I tell him?

"Blossom, Aaradhya?" He snapped his fingers again.

"Riddhant. Actually, It's about Rithanya." I reluctantly delineated each and everything to him. He listened to me without any interruption.

"Riddhant. I am just worried for her." I lastly mentioned my concern. He blinked his eyes twice before cupping my face.

"You don't need to worry. She's our daughter. She can handle herself. You did the right thing to tell her to stand up for herself." I was stunned after hearing such words from him. This was something unpredictable or I would say totally unexpected.
My mouth fell open and I kept glaring at him.
He raked his hand through his hair and smiled sheepishly.

He always does that when he's hiding something.

"Are you serious Riddhant, I sense something odd. This is not something which you would normally say." I folded my arms turning all suspicious.

"Actually. I sort of eavesdropped your conversation." He scratched his head.

"And?"

"And after that I was about to appoint a bodyguard for my girl but Riya caught me while I was at the door and even scolded me." He sighed while I was trying hard to hold on my laughter.
