I took in a sharp breath, stopping at the beginning of the sidewalk. The landscaping was absolutely beautiful. The series of large, white buildings stretched across several acres of land. Trees stood tall along the winding walkways, providing shade for the few students walking across campus. Ivy cascaded down the sides of the buildings in what looked to be the older part of the college. The campus consisted of new and old buildings woven together like a maze, so different but similar at the same time. Brightly colored flowers decorated the window sills and covered the bushes that bordered the buildings.
"Lovely isn't it?" Bridget stood at my shoulder, her eyes glittering in the midday sun that finally decided to light up Dublin.
I shook my head, "Thats an understatement."
She smiled brightly, nodding in the direction of the buildings. "Lets go find our dorm."
We set off walking towards the Administration building. Our suitcases clicked against the breaks in the sidewalk. Birdsong floated down from the treetops, the chirps and coos weaving together in one beautiful piece, one voice of the trees. I sighed, breathing in the rain-fresh air. Only when Bridget grabbed my arm, did I come back to reality.
"Come on, don't tell me you forgot what I told you about daydreaming?" She looked at me with a stern expression, but her eyes were bubbling with humor.
"Don't worry I didn't forget." A smirk forming on my lips.
She laughed and pulled me behind her through the glass double doors. The smell of mahogany and expensive perfume greeted me along with a blast of cold air. The receptionist at the front desk smiled warmly. Her dark brown hair was plaited in a braid down the front of her bright red dress, and she had on matching lipstick.
"What can I help you girls with?" She cocked her head expectantly.
"We're students here and we just came by to get our schedules and room keys." Bridget thankfully took over.
"Names?"
"Bridget Coleman and..." She paused and looked over her shoulder at me.
"Veronica Rivera."
The lady nodded and began typing. "Here we are. Bridget you're room 164, dorm-"
"Actually," Bridged interrupted, earning herself a surprised look from the receptionist, "We were wondering if we could share a room, and our roommates switch to be together instead."
She looked reproachfully at Bridget but eventually nodded. "I guess I can switch you guys, sure." Typing and clicking were the only sounds for a few minutes. Bridget and I shifted awkwardly, glancing at each other, then at our shoes, then around the room.
"Okay girls, I contacted your roommates and they're both fine with the switch." She reached behind her and grabbed two matching keys. "Veronica I went ahead and switched you into Bridget's room, 164. Your dorm is right here." She pulled out a campus map and pointed with a perfectly manicured nail, to a building on the west side of the campus. "I believe you can find your way?"
"Yes thank you." Bridget smiled politely at the receptionist.
"Here are you student ID's, parking passed and schedules." She handed us the three items each.
We nodded our thanks and retreated out of the building.
"Great! Now let's find our room, we have some unpacking to do." Bridget winked and pulled me behind her along the sidewalk.

I shoved my key into the lock and flung open the door. Squinting, I noticed a large window seated above two twin beds, light streaming through the glass.
