"Rose please be safe. Don't let anything happen to you or Marco", my mom said as I put the last box in the truck.
Today was my last day in St. Paul, Minnesota. My best friend Marco Wilson is moving there with me to keep me company so I wouldn't live in the house by myself. He's gonna be driving all the way to Portland, Oregon. I'm moving there because of my job.
"Mom we'll be fine", I said.
"Yeah Mrs. Walker I'll make sure she doesn't get into any trouble", Marco said.
"Marco I don't want any funny business with my daughter", my dad said.
"Actually Mr. Walker she's the one that can't keep her hands off me", Marco said.
My face turned bright red and I began laughing.
"Oh shut up Romeo", I said pushing the bag I'm keeping in the front with me.
"Wilson", my dad said.
"Understood sir", Marco said.
I gave my parents one final hug before getting in the truck. I looked in the rear view mirror and waved as we pulled off.
"Ready to start a new life?", Marco asked.
"Yeah totally", I replied.
I plugged in the aux cord and began playing Panda by Desiigner on full blast. Marco being Marco began singing way off key. Every time the word panda he's sing in a high pitched voice. I laughed when he did this and looked out the window. Goodbye St. Paul hello Portland.
