Damn Blaze is hot. He's so amazing. Glad no one knows I like him. I started feeling this way about three months ago. At first I kept thinking it was nothing and pushed it to the back of my mind. Then I couldn't stop thinking about him. I accepted that I was bi and that's just who I am.
I am a large and muscular wolf fox hybrid. My body is orange with a white stomach and silver arms and legs. My ears are black and my tail is light blue. My eyes are silver and my hair is dark and light brown. I am one of the main players for my schools team, along with Blaze and a few others. My name is Cody.
Buzz. Buzz.
My peaceful sleep is interrupted by my annoying alarm. I smack the phone off the table and grab it off the floor. I tap the screen silencing it. I'm always crabby when I wake up. I hate school mornings. I fall back asleep.
"Cody, get up, you have to go to school!" My moms shouting wakes me up. "You don't want to be late on the first day of your junior year! Only this year and one more, then you can sleep as late as you want."
Ugh. She always tries to look at the positive side of things. I still haven't told her I'm bi yet.
I slowly sit up and drag myself out of my bedroom to the bathroom. I brush my fur and teeth. I check the time. Good, still at least 15 minutes to get ready. I go to my room and open my dresser. I grab some sport shorts, a lose t-shirt, and a light hoodie. I have a habit of wearing hoodies. I grab my bag and head downstairs.
"Here, eat before you go." My mom hands me a plate with some scrambled eggs, a piece of toast, and two pieces of bacon.
"Thanks." I sit down and gulp down my food in a minute or two.
"Bye mom, see you after school."
"Have a good day!"
I walk out the door and grab my bike. I like to keep fit so I try not to use my car.
I get to school in a few minutes. I check my watch, still have a few minutes. I head to my first class.
"Hey Cody, what's up?" My friend Alec has the same classes as me.
"Not much, you?"
"I got the best new game on my phone, come check it out!" Seriously, he has a new "best game" every day or two.
I walk over and look at this random game. It has dragons and you apparently create a user and ride them.
"Cool," I say unenthusiastically.
I take my seat and check my texts. My other friends are all posting pictures of themselves in their classes. The tardy bell rings and the teacher walks in.
"Everybody take a seat. Today we will start with a short story and a poem. I want you to read these on your own and then discuss what you think the theme is with a partner."
I quickly read over the short story and poem. The story was about a fur lost in a forest and the poem was about some lonely fur that wished they were different.
I looked up to see if anyone around me was done reading. I saw Blaze sitting to my left. He was looking at me.
"You done reading them?" He asked.
"Yeah, what do you think was the theme?"
"Lost or lonely furs."
"Same here."
An awkward silence came. I watched as more people started to finish and talk with other furs.
"It seems most of us are done discussing. What was the theme?" The teacher asked.
Some fur across the room answered. A cat, a cute girl at that. "Furs who are lost, physically and emotionally."
"Very good." The teacher said.
I zoned out most of the rest of class. The bell rang and I walked out of the classroom.
I was heading to my next class when I saw that cute cat and a group of guys. I listened in on their conversation with my excellent hearing.
"Little nerd girl, you should do our homework for us." One of the male furs said.
"Why would I do that?" She asked.
"Because you're a nerd and we don't have the time to." Another male said.
"I won't do it." She said calmly.
One of the male furs grabbed her glasses. "You will if you want these back!"
That does it. One, I hate people that are stupid jerks, two, taking someone's glasses is not cool. I had glasses in elementary school and they kept getting taken. I ended up beating the people that took them.
I changed direction heading over to the group of furs.
"Give me my glasses back!" The cat fur was trying to reach for them. She was short so all the other fur had to do was lift them up.
I went up behind him and grabbed the glasses out of his hand.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" He turned and looked at me. I was about six inches taller than him.
"I'm helping out a young lady. Got a problem?" I growled.
"Yeah, your interrupting our conversation," He snapped back.
"People who are stupid shouldn't just force people to do work for them, just pay attention in class and work harder."
"Did you just call me stupid?!" He started getting in my face.
"Yeah."
He swung a fist toward my stomach. I easily grabbed his arm and pushed him against the lockers.
"Trying to hurt me, that's stupid," I said.
"Let me go!"
"Leave this fine lady alone and stop plunking around weaker people. If I hear you did something like this again, I will find you and hurt you."
I let him go and he tried to swing at me again, this time my face. I easily dogged and punched him in the stomach. He dropped onto his knees clutching his sides.
"Get out of here," I growled at him and his buddies. They helped him to his feet and ran off.
"Here you go." I turned to the cat and gave her her glasses.
"Th-thanks."
"No problem, I couldn't stand by and let those idiots pick on a smart, beautiful lady." She blushed and smiled shyly. "What class do you have next?"
"Biology, room 117," she answered.
"Same here, want to walk together?"
"Sure."
We headed to our next class.
